ObjectiveTo investigate the current status of patients’ readiness for discharge after ACL reconstruction, and to analyse the factors influencing patients’ readiness for discharge after ACL reconstruction.MethodsIn this study, from January 2022 to October 2022,patients after ACLR reconstruction surgery who were being discharged from the sports medicine department of a tertiary hospital in Gansu Province and met the screening criteria were selected as the study subjects, and the general information questionnaire, the Chinese version of the Discharge Readiness Scale, the Chinese version of the Xiao Water Source Social Support Rating Scale, and the Chinese version of the Discharge Guidance Quality Scale were used to investigate the current situation, and all data were All data were entered into MS Excel software after double checking to confirm that they were correct, and a database of post-ACLR patients was established.IBM SPSS software was used for statistical analysis, with specific methods such as frequency, statistical description,in dependent sample t-test,chisquare test,one-way ANOVA,correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis.Results(1)Patients with ACL reconstruction had a discharge readiness score of 80.98±6.48,including a personal status dimension score of 19.64±1.89,an adaptability dimension score of34.96±2.57,and an anticipatory support dimension score of 26.38±3.34.Standardized scores for each dimension: the highest score was for the adaptive capacity dimension 6.99±0.51,followed by the anticipatory support 6.60±0.83 and the personal status dimension 6.55±0.63.(2)The quality score of discharge instructions for patients with ACL reconstruction was142.69±6.46,with a score of 31.76±3.13 for the content dimension of patient need,35.09±2.49 for the content dimension of actual access, and 80.20±4.82 for the instructional skills and effectiveness dimension.Standardized scores for each dimension: content to be obtained 5.29±0.52,content actually obtained 5.85±0.41,co-aching skills and effectiveness5.42±0.00.(3)The social support score for patients with ACL reconstruction was 37.22±5.46,where the objective support dimension score was 10.77±2.58,the subjective support dimension was19.04±3.58,and the support utilization dimension was 7.75±1.72.Standardized scores for each dimension: objective support dimension score was 3.59±086,subjective support dimension was 4.76±0.90,and support utilization dimension was 2.59±0.57.(4)The quality of discharge instructions for ACL patients was positively correlated with readiness for discharge(r=0.544,P<0.01);social support for ACL reconstruction patients was positively correlated with readiness for discharge(r=0.528,P<0.01).(5)By multiple linear regression analysis, the results showed that literacy, quality of discharge instructions, and social support together explained 54.2% of the variance in readiness for discharge(P<0.05).Conclusions(1)ACL reconstruction patients’ readiness for discharge was at a moderate to low level, with the highest score on the adaptability dimension and the lowest on personal state competence.(2)There was a positive correlation between patients with ACL reconstruction and the quality of discharge instructions and social support.(3)The main factors influencing the discharge readiness of patients with ACL reconstruction are marital status, literacy, quality of discharge instructions and social support, suggesting that nursing staff should provide differential health education and post discharge rehabilitation exercises to patients with different literacy, marital status, economic level and available social support in their clinical work,so as to improve the level of discharge readiness of patients.
