Objective:Asthma is a common disease. At present, glucocorticoid is still used as the first choice in the treatment of modern medicine, and atomization will also cause local adverse reactions.Studies have shown that the combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of bronchial asthma has its unique advantages. In response,it can effectively reduce the number of eosinophils in the blood of patients with cold asthma, increase the level of serum immunoglobulin Ig A,boost the immunity of patients and alleviate anaphylaxis, and make an improvement of patients’ lung function, decrease asthmatic attack, and increase the cure rate. This paper briefly summarizes the clinical application of acupoint application, and proves the effectiveness of acupoint application of Pingchuan shu through experimental studies. In this study,Western Blot was used to detect the expression of Notch1 in rat lung tissue, and Ig E and IL-4 in serum were measured by ELISA.The EOS in alveolar lavage fluid was measured by cell counting plate and the pathological changes of lung tissue were observed. It was confirmed that the combined acupoint application of“Pingchuan shu” was superior to glucocorticoid atomization therapy alone in the treatment of asthma. At the same time, the possible mechanism of action of “Pingchuan shu” acupoint application was explored based on Notch1 signaling pathway, which provided theoretical basis and data support for further research and further promotion of clinical application. And the clinical application of acupoint application is summarized briefly. Methods:Fifty SD rats were randomly divided into 5 groups with 10 rats in each group: normal group, model group, budesonide group, acupoint application group and combined group(budesonide combined acupoint application). The rat model of asthma was established according to the relevant literature. After successful modeling, the administration and intervention began for 4 weeks. The expression of Notch1 in rat lung tissue was detected by Western Blot,Ig E and IL-4 contents in serum were detected by ELISA,EOS in alveolar lavage fluid was counted by cell count plate and pathological changes of lung tissue were observed. Results:Compared with the normal group, the serum Ig E and IL-4 levels in the model group were observably increased(P<0.01),the EOS count in BALF and the expression of Notch1 protein were elevated(P<0.05).Compared with model group, serum Ig E and IL-4levels,EOS count in BALF,and Notch1 protein expression decreased in treatment groups(P<0.05),and Ig E and Notch1 protein expression decreased significantly in budesonide group and combination group(P<0.01).Compared with budesonide group,The protein expression of Ig E,IL-4,EOS and Notch1 in acupoint application group was lower than that in budesonide group, but there was no statistical difference(P>0.05).The Ig E and IL-4levels,EOS and Notch1 protein expression in combination group was lower than that in budesonide group(P<0.05).The difference was statistically significant. Conclusion:The effectiveness of “Pingchuan shu” acupoint application was confirmed, and combined application of “Pingchuan shu” acupoint application in the treatment of asthma was better than glucocorticoid atomization therapy alone.“Pingchuan shu” acupoint application in the treatment of asthma rats may regulate the immunity of bronchial asthma rats by down-regulating the expression of Notch1 signal, relieve airway inflammation of asthma rats, and improve the pathological injury of lung tissue.
