Objective : To analyze the correlation between nutritional status, sleep quality, negative emotion, pain score and life quality of lung cancer patients in southwest China, and to explore the main influencing factors of life quality of lung cancer patients. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional study.A total of 110 patients from Southwest China(Yunnan,Guizhou,Sichuan)who were admitted to the Department of Oncology,Department of Respiratory Medicine and Department of geriatric Thoracic Surgery in The First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from May 2022 to January 2023 and were diagnosed with lung cancer by pathology and met the inclusion criteria were selected for questionnaire survey. The questionnaire included patients’ general information and clinical characteristics,Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale,self-rating Depression Scale,self-rating Anxiety Scale,mini-nutrition Assessment scale, visual analog score, and cancer patients’ quality of life scale. The general demographic data, clinical characteristics, nutritional status, sleep quality, negative emotions, pain and quality of life of lung cancer patients were investigated.SPSS 26.0 was used for statistical descriptive analysis, univariate analysis, correlation analysis and multi-factor analysis of the data.A predictive model of life quality of lung cancer patients was established based on machine learning method. Results: 1.The scores of lung cancer patients in southwest China were 21.88±3.35 points in the mini-nutrition Assessment scale,9.47±4.38 points in the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index scale,37.72±6.36 points in the self-rating anxiety scale,48.43±8.11 points in the self-rating depression scale, and 0.95±1.73 points in visual simulation. The sleep quality and emotional state were worse than those of domestic adult norm(P<0.001).74.54% of lung cancer patients had malnutrition or underlying malnutrition,57.27% had sleep disorders, and 40% had depression.2.Analysis on the influencing factors of nutritional status, sleep quality, negative emotion and pain of lung cancer patients in Southwest China: univariate analysis showed that the effects of pathological type, clinical stage, gender and metastasis on nutritional status of lung cancer patients were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were significant differences in age and gender on negative emotions of lung cancer patients(P<0.05).Age,clinical stage and duration of diagnosis had significant differences on sleep quality of lung cancer patients(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in pain score among different demographic data and clinical characteristics of lung cancer patients(P >0.05).3.Analysis of the status quo and influencing factors of the quality of life of lung cancer patients in Southwest China: The score of the quality of life of lung cancer patients was as follows, the overall quality of life was 79.34±5.85 points; In the functional field, the body function score was the highest 74.66±20.28 points, and the emotional function score was the lowest 63.44±25.57 points. In the symptom field, the fatigue score was the highest: 36.79±24.35;In a single item, the score of insomnia was the highest: 36.29±32.28 points, followed by shortness of breath: 30.61±28.50 points, economic difficulties: 25.38±29.27 points, diarrhea score was the lowest:5.76±16.66 points.Univariate analysis showed that medical payment method, education level, pathological type(P<0.05),clinical stage, lung tumor operation, duration of diagnosis, metastasis and anti-tumor treatment(P<0.001)had statistically significant differences on the overall quality of life. The effects of medical payment method, pathological type,metastasis(P<0.05),clinical stage, lung tumor operation, duration of diagnosis and antitumor therapy(P<0.001)on the physical function of lung cancer patients were statistically different.Gender,age(P<0.01),smoking history and metastasis(P<0.05)had significant differences on emotional function.4.Correlation analysis of nutritional status, sleep quality, negative emotion, pain and life quality of lung cancer patients in Southwest China: Nutritional status was positively correlated with physical function, role function, social function and overall quality of life(P<0.05),while negative emotion(anxiety, depression)and pain were negatively correlated with physical function, role function, social function and overall quality of life(P<0.01).Negative emotion and total score of sleep quality were negatively correlated with emotional function(P<0.01).Depression was negatively correlated with cognitive function(P<0.05).5.Multiple linear regression of factors affecting the quality of life of lung cancer patients in Southwest China: Multiple linear stepby-step regression analysis showed that anxiety, depression and nutrition status were the main factors affecting the quality of life of lung cancer patients.6.The predictive model of life quality of lung cancer patients based on machine learning was established, and it was found that indicators such as depression self-rating scale score, anxiety self-rating scale score and social function had great predictive ability of life quality of lung cancer patients, among which the top four were anxiety self-rating scale score, depression self-rating scale score, social function and micro-nutrition assessment scale score in order. Conclusion: The nutritional status, sleep quality and emotional state of lung cancer patients in southwest China were poor, economic difficulties were more serious.Anxiety, depression and nutritional status are the main factors affecting the quality of life of lung cancer patients in Southwest China.
