Objective(s): To analyze the characteristics of tobacco-dependent patients,tobacco use and factors influencing cessation in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University to provide guidance for cessation intervention strategiesMethods: From January 2021 to December 2021,98 patients who volunteered to quit smoking in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University were consulted face to face by quitting doctors,and a questionnaire was filled out to collect the general information,smoking related situation and smoking cessation related situation of the patients,and to carry out smoking cessation intervention.1month and 3 months after the completion of the first diagnosis,the patients were followed up by telephone.According to 95 smokers who were successfully followed up for 3 months,95 smokers were divided into two groups: abstinence group and non-quit smoking group.Independent sample t test,chi-square test,rank sum test and Logistic regression were used to analyze the effective influencing factors of quitting smoking.Results: Among the 98 smokers surveyed,95.9% were male patients,the average age was 45.01 years,the average smoking age was 20 years,the average daily smoking volume was 20 cigarettes,61.2% of them were college students or above,and the occupation was mainly business service personnel,accounting for 41.8%.55.1% of smokers assessed their health status as general.53.2% of smokers knew that the way to quit smoking was through our doctor,12.2% of smokers had never tried to quit smoking,87.8% of smokers had tried to quit smoking,73.4% of smokers had not used quitting products,27.6% of smokers had begun to quit smoking at the first visit,and 55.1% of smokers had motivation to quit smoking because of their own health and family health.The average score of nicotine dependence was 5,moderate dependence of nicotine was 43.9%,and severe dependence was 32.7%.95 patients were followed up by telephone for 1 month(3.06%),95 people were followed up for3 months,no lost visitors were followed up.The smoking abstinence rate was 27.4%at 7 days of follow-up in 1 month and 40.0% at 7 days of follow-up in 3 months.Compared with the first visit,the patients followed up for 1 month and 3 months were in better health condition.Univariate analysis showed that there were significant differences in the importance of quitting smoking,tobacco dependence and the use of quitting drugs(P≤ 0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that there were significant differences in nicotine dependence and the use of quitting drugs(P ≤ 0.05).Mild nicotine addicts were 4.171 times more successful in quitting smoking than those with severe nicotine dependence.Patients who used quitting drugs were 4.989 times more successful in quitting smoking than those who did not.The lower the degree of nicotine dependence,the better the effect of quitting smoking,and the use of drugs to quit smoking can improve the success rate of smoking.Conclusion(s): Quitting smoking intervention is effective in quitting smoking clinic.Nicotine dependence is a factor affecting the success of quitting smoking.The lower the degree of nicotine dependence,the higher the success rate of quitting smoking.The use of quitting drugs can improve the possibility of quitting smoking.
