In 2017,the World Health Organization released the "Global Youth Health Acceleration Action: Guidelines for Promoting National Implementation",which pointed out that among the many causes of death among adolescents in 2015,suicide and self harm ranked third, with approximately 67000 deaths.According to the 2014 China Education Development Report,in 2013,the media reported a total of 79 suicides among primary and secondary school students, with the highest number of suicides occurring among middle school students and followed by high school students.Whether viewed internationally or domestically, the suicide rate among adolescents has remained high for many years, not only bringing a devastating blow to families, but also bringing many hidden dangers to school management, students’ mental health, and social stability. Therefore, effectively preventing the recurrence of teenage suicide is an urgent issue that every family, school, and society as a whole must deeply consider and actively face. This article uses Baidu and various authoritative news websites as tools, and takes adolescent suicide cases reported by the media from 1999 to 2022 as the research object.A total of 1018 eligible cases have been searched and sorted out.Using content analysis methods, the behavior of various behavioral subjects(teachers, parents, and students)before suicide among adolescents has been statistically analyzed from different dimensions, and the trigger factors leading to adolescent suicide have been summarized,Instructors and parents should try to avoid these triggers, reduce the abnormal deaths of students caused by improper punishment by teachers and parents, and provide evidence and suggestions for schools to do a good job of psychological safety management, thereby reducing the overall rate of suicide among young people in China. The preliminary statistical analysis results are as follows:Firstly,in terms of time, teenage suicides mostly occur in the first half of the year, mainly in March to June;Secondly,in terms of gender, there are more boys than girls, with boys accounting for 54.07% and girls accounting for 45.93%;Third,in terms of grades, college students account for the most, accounting for 42.83%,followed by high school students, accounting for 18.66%.There are no cases collected in the first and second grades of primary school;Fourth, from the perspective of suicide methods, the highest proportion of people jumped from buildings, accounting for 70.88%,followed by taking drugs, accounting for 8.09%;Fifthly,from the perspective of suicide sites, schools are the largest, accounting for 56.49%.Schools are concentrated in teaching buildings and dormitory buildings, accounting for 28.35% and 24.76%,respectively,followed by residential buildings, accounting for 31.46%;Sixth,from the perspective of the implementation results of suicide behaviors, suicide deaths accounted for 86.93%,and attempted suicide accounted for 11.10%.Suicide deaths are far more than attempted suicide, and even attempted suicide can cause serious harm to the body.Seventh, from the perspective of geographical distribution, there are more suicide cases in the south and economically developed regions as a whole than in the north and underdeveloped regions in the central and western regions.Through statistical analysis,it is found that the top four problems among students are academic, emotional, disciplinary, and mobile phone problems; The top four problems faced by teachers are inviting parents, publicly criticizing, corporal punishment, and receiving mobile phones; The top four problems faced by parents are criticism of education, lack of care, harsh discipline, and prevention of early love.A longitudinal comparison of the four stages of primary school, junior high school, senior high school, and university shows that in primary school, compared to parents, factors involving teachers are dominant, but the difference is not significant; In junior high school and senior high school, the teacher factor gradually rises, and the third year of senior high school basically reaches its peak;In the university stage, the teacher factor has greatly decreased, with parents dominating. This analysis shows that in primary, middle, and high school stages, the education and punishment methods of teachers are crucial for students. Therefore,in these three stages, training and optimizing the education and punishment methods of teachers is crucial to preventing the recurrence of teenage suicides.
