| Suicide is the fourth leading cause of death among adolescents,and it is also a great challenge facing the current education system,which has not yet established effective prevention and intervention mechanism nationwide.Previous studies have shown that suicidal ideation is an important predictor of suicidal behavior and is closely related to mindfulness and rumination.At present,there are few studies on the relationship between mindfulness,rumination and suicidal ideation in China,and there are more studies on the two factors among the three,and few studies on the heterogeneity of the three from the perspective of mindfulness and its dimensions.The study groups were mostly adults and college students.The incidence of adolescent suicide has increased,so it is of great practical significance to explore adolescent suicidal ideation.Based on the theory of response style and the cognitive model of suicidal behavior,this study explores the relationship between the level of mindfulness and suicidal ideation of junior middle school students,and the mediating role of rumination in the relationship between mindfulness and suicidal ideation of junior middle school students.On the basis of study 1,a group counseling program for rumination was designed for junior middle school students according to the results of study 2,so as to reduce the degree of rumination and suicidal ideation,provide new ideas and perspectives for school mental health teachers,and enrich the practical experience in the study of indigenization of rumination intervention.This study consists of two parts.In the first study,700 junior middle school students aged 12 to 15 years old in a junior middle school in Hebei Province were selected as research objects.The mediating effect of rumination on mindfulness,its dimensions and suicidal ideation was studied by questionnaire method.Among them,360 were male and 312 were female.On the basis of controlling demographic variables,we explored the relationship between mindfulness and its dimension and suicidal ideation as well as the mediating role of rumination.In study 2,based on study 1,60 subjects with high rumination thinking and suicidal ideation were screened out and randomly divided into experimental group and control group.The experimental group received group counseling intervention for rumination thinking,while the control group did not.To test the effectiveness of group counseling in reducing rumination and suicidal ideation among junior middle school students.The results show that:(1)The level of mindfulness,rumination and suicidal ideation of junior middle school students were significantly correlated.(2)The level of mindfulness of junior middle school students significantly negatively predicted suicidal ideation and rumination;Rumination positively predicted suicidal ideation.(3)Among junior middle school students’ mindfulness and its dimensions,the four dimensions of description,conscious action,non-judgment and non-action are significantly negatively correlated with suicidal ideation,while the observation dimension is significantly positively correlated with suicidal ideation.(4)Rumination had a partial mediating effect on suicidal ideation in the four dimensions of total score and description of mindfulness,conscious action,observation and non-judgment,respectively,but had no mediating effect on the relationship between rumination and suicidal ideation in the inactive dimension.(5)Rumination group counseling can significantly reduce the degree of rumination of junior middle school students,so as to reduce the generation of suicidal ideation.In conclusion,the study concluded that mindfulness level of junior high school students can negatively predict rumination and suicidal ideation,while rumination can positively predict suicidal ideation.Rumination of junior middle school students has a partial mediating effect between mindfulness and suicidal ideation.Rumination as the theme of intervention counseling can effectively reduce the rumination of junior high school students,so as to reduce their level of suicidal ideation. |
