ObjectiveThis study discusses the intervention effect of Yuanluo acupoints combined with herb-cake-separated moxibustion on functional abdominal distention of spleen deficiency and qi stagnation, objectively evaluates its effectiveness and practicality, aims to improve the clinical symptoms and quality of life, objectively evaluate its effectiveness and practicality, provides new ideas for clinical intervention of patients with functional abdominal distention of spleen deficiency and qi stagnation.MethodsIn this study, patients with functional abdominal distention of spleen deficiency and qi stagnation from December 2021 to November 2022 in the Department of Spleen and Gastroenterology,a tertiary Chinese medicine hospital in Yunnan Province were selected as the research subjects.According to the random number table method,80 patients were divided into control and observation group,40 patients in each group.Patients in both groups were given basic intervention(routine intervention and routine nursing),Including routine medication, diet maintenance, emotional care, sports care, health education, etc. On this basis, the control group was given herb-cake-separated moxibustion therapy at Zhongwan Point and Zusanli point, while the observation group was given herb-cake-separated moxibustion therapy at Spleen meridian point-Taibai point and stomach meridian point-Fenglong point according to the combination method of Yuanluo points. The intervention period was 14 days, then, the TCM syndrome scores, clinical efficacy and living quality scores of the two groups were compared before and after the intervention, then evaluated the intervention effects.Results1.Inclusion of study participantsA total of 80 patients with functional abdominal distention of spleen deficiency and qi stagnation were included in this study.During the intervention period,1 patient in control group fell off due to poor patient cooperation, shedding rate is 2.5%;and 1 patient in observation group fell off due to patient’s voluntary withdrawal, shedding rate is 2.5% too.A total of 78 cases were finally included in the medical data statistics, with 39 cases in each group.2.General baseline data comparisonThere was no statistical difference in the general information Including Gender, age, course of illness, medical insurance category, ethnicity, marital status, occupation, education level, allergy history between the two groups(P > 0.05),which was comparable.3.Scores of each single TCM syndromeBefore the intervention, the scores of each single TCM syndrome were compared between the groups, there was no statistical difference(P>0.05),showing comparability. After intervention, the scores decreased in both groups,The improvement degree integral in abdominal distension, belching and loose stool in the observation group was higher than control group, with statistical difference(P < 0.05).There was no significant advantage in the improvement degree of anorexia, shortness of breath, lazy speech, fatigue, irritability and impatience, there was statistical difference(P < 0.05).4.Total scores of TCM syndromsBefore intervention, compared the total scores of TCM syndroms between the two groups, there was no statistical difference(P > 0.05),showing comparability. After intervention, the scores in both groups decreased,The observation group was lowwer than control group, there was no statistical difference(P > 0.05).5.Efficacy of TCM syndromThe total effective rate of the control group was 71.79%,and the observation group was 89.74%.Compared the two groups, there was statistical difference(P < 0.05).6.Quality of life scoresBefore intervention, compared the quality of life scores, there was no statistical difference(P > 0.05),showing comparability. After intervention, the scores of both groups were increased, and the observation group was higher than control group, there was statistical difference(P < 0.05).7.Safety indicatorsThere were no adverse reactions and adverse events occurred in both groups during the intervention.Conclusion1.Yuanluo acupoints combined with herb-cake-separated moxibustion can help reduce the scores of each single TCM syndrome and total scores of TCM syndroms. It is suggested that Yuanluo acupoints combined with herb-cake-separated moxibustion can relieve the clinical symptoms of patients with functional abdominal distention of spleen deficiency and qi stagnation, effectively improve the symptoms of abdominal distension, belching and loose stool,The curative effect is better than conventional moxibustion.2.In this study, the total effective rate of TCM syndrome in patients with functional abdominal distention of spleen deficiency and qi stagnation, the group of Yuanluo acupoints combined with herb-cake-separated moxibustion was higher than that of conventional herb-cake-separated moxibustion, suggesting that the TCM syndrome effect of Yuanluo acupoints combined with herb-cake-separated moxibustion was better than that of conventional herb-cake-separated moxibustion.3.Yuanluo acupoints combined with herb-cake-separated moxibustion has a better effect on quality of life score to patients with functional abdominal distention of spleen deficiency and qi stagnation. It is suggested that Yuanluo acupoints combined with herb-cake-separated moxibustion can improve the quality of life and its curative effect is better than conventional herb-cake-separated moxibustion.4.Yuanluo acupoints combined with herb-cake-separated moxibustion in the treatment of patients with functional abdominal distention of spleen deficiency and qi stagnation has good efficacy, high safety, good compliance, economic and practical, worthy of further clinical promotion. |
