At present,with China’s the development of cultural,economic and political factors in our country,the demand for high-quality composite talents is increasing.In recent years,China’s higher vocational education has shown a rapid development trend,and at the same time how to improve the comprehensive quality of higher vocational students is an urgent task.Art quality is an important part of the comprehensive quality which can be improved by the art education.From ‘Some opinions on promoting the Development of School Art Education’ issued in No.1 of Teaching physical Arts [2014]issued by China’s Ministry of Education at the beginning of 2014 can be seen that China’s art education is in the stage of continuous adjustment and upgrading.Nowadays,most students know more about pop songs than classical music.Even students who take music courses do not fully understand the professional music knowledge,some of which even don’t know the simple spectrum and staff spectrum.In addition,in recent years,the government has invested a lot of energy in training the technical talents,and in higher vocational colleges also have put emphasis on improving the students’ comprehensive quality in the personnel training program.Furthermore,comprehensively promoting the music quality education has become a big part of quality education.Therefore,higher vocational colleges must put music quality education in an important position in order to meet the national demand for comprehensive talents.This article focuses on the music quality education,analyzing the music quality education survey results of Guangdong Polytechnic of Industry and Commerce,so as to summarize the problems existing in the music quality education in higher vocational colleges,and clarify the basic situation of the current music quality education in higher vocational colleges in China.The first chapter is the introduction,focusing on the research background,research significance,research status,research content and methods.The second chapter is the connotation of music quality education.It elaborates the concept of music quality and the factors influencing students’ music quality,which lays a theoretical foundation for this study.The third chapter is the investigation of the present situation of music quality education in Guangdong Polytechnic of Industry and Commerce.The investigation mainly concentrates on the following items: students’ basic music quality;Degree of attention to music quality education;Curriculum design of music course;music practical teaching process;music teaching facilities and equipment.Finally,the overall evaluation of the school music quality education is given.Chapter four analyzes the problems and reasons of music quality education in higher vocational colleges.The existing problems are analyzed from the following five aspects:understanding of music quality education;the status of music quality education in higher vocational colleges;the purpose and task of music education in higher vocational colleges;the quality structure of music teachers in higher vocational colleges and the basis of music quality of students in higher vocational colleges.The reasons for the problems are analyzed as following: parents and society do not know enough about music quality education;school education does not give enough support to music quality education;basic music knowledge ability is insufficient;music course teaching is not satisfactory,and students’ music foundation is poor.The fifth chapter is the countermeasures to strengthen the vocational college students’ music quality education,which of them are the following: correct understanding of music quality education in higher vocational colleges;clear training objectives of music quality education in higher vocational colleges;improving the overall quality of music teachers and the quality of music teaching.The sixth chapter is the summary and prospect of this research,and points out the research direction in the future.
