Research On The Inheritance And Development Of Lion Dance In Teng County Of Guangxi From The Perspective Of Cultural Anthropology

As a traditional folk sports activity Lion dance is an important part of Chinese traditional culture and it has attracted the attention of the academic community.The existing studies of lion dance are mostly discussed from the macro level,but the study on the local characteristics and cultural differences of the micro-level lion dance is lacking.In the study of Lion Dance in Tengxian city of Guangxi ,most of the studies have discussed the classification of lion dance,cultural development situation,ethical value,inheritance and protection,etc.There is no theoretical explanation and discussion on the cultural connotation and significance of the lion dance,and the inheritance and development of the lion dance culture.Although some scholars have reached a consensus on the issue of cultural awareness of folk sports and protection of traditional sports culture on the basis of social transformation.However,The results of the analysis are less for the development and protection of other folk sports activities using the theory of cultural consciousness.This study uses the perspective of cultural anthropology to analyze lion dance activities in Tengxian city of Guangxi based on interview,participation and non-participation observation.The study found three aspects as below: Firstly,the Lion Dance in Tengxian city of Guangxi has risen since 1749 and has gone through five stages of development: origin,prosperity and prosperity,tortuous development,restoration and correction and pluralistic development.Secondly,since the development of Lion Dance in Tengxian city of Guangxi according to the nature of the performance,it is basically divided into folk traditional lion dance,competitive lion dance and commercial lion dance.The development of the traditional Lion Dance in Tengxian city of Guangxi gradually weakened In the process of development.The development of Lion Dance in Lion Competition and Commercial Lion Dance in Tengxian city of Guangxi tended to be stable and in the process of development,the development of Lion Dance is interdependent and mutually driven.According to the performance form of Lion dance in Tengxian city,Guangxi it can be divided into traditional lion and high pile lion in which the traditional lion focuses on the performance of the lion dance on the ground and the high pile lion focuses on the performance of the lion dance at high altitude.The cultural connotation of Lion Dance in Tengxian city of Guangxi has been continuously deconstructed and re-constructed,which includes three aspects: belief,custom and education,which embodies the cultural significance of lion worship,lion dance etiquette,ethics and team spirit.The cultural value of Lion Dance in Tengxian city of Guangxi is to promote cultural inheritance and development,to promote physical and mental harmony and artistic aesthetics,to exchange and spread culture,to develop cultural industry and to maintain cultural diversity and so on.Thirdly,based on the theory of cultural consciousness,this paper puts forward the ways of inheritance and development of Lion Dance in Tengxian city,which mainly include combining tradition with modernity,attaching importance to the key role of inheritors,improving the bad inheritance status and establishing research institutions,paying attention to the data arrangement of Lion Dance in Tengxian city,facilitating people to have a certain self-awareness of lion dance culture,strengthening the township lion team,participating in folk festival activities,strengthening cultural guidance on campus,and encouraging children left behind to participate in lion dance activities and cultivating reserve talents.In addition,in the course of the research the author found that the masses of Lion Dance in Tengxian city in Guangxi are solid,but the lack of systematic management leads to the scarcity of lion dance talents together with the limited research time on the spot.Therefore,it is suggested that scholars should pay more attention to how to retain and introduce professional talents in Lion Dance in Tengxian city of Guangxi under the background of social changes,further carry forward folk sports activities and excavate and sort out lion dance culture.
