A Comparative Study Of The Words Used In Sutras And The Block-printed Sutras In XuanYing Yinyi

"XuanYing Yin Yi"(《玄应音义》)is an important book of Buddhist scriptures,which explains the difficult words in 446 Buddhist scriptures,and XuanYing records the many kinds of characters of these target words at the time of instruction,some of which are the corresponding characters in the Buddhist scriptures.According to author statistics,“XuanYing YinYi" in such words as many as 1515.This paper compares the original characters and words in the dozens of engraved Buddhist scriptures,such as“XuanYing YinYi”,the words and the target words and the re-carved version of Koryo Tibetan,the Dazheng Tibetan,the Chinese Tibetan,and so on,in order to have a relatively complete understanding of the relationship between the written Buddhist scriptures,the words and the target words and the characters and the words of this Buddhist scriptures.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction.This chapter defines the meaning,the research scope and the research method of this thesis.The second chapter introduces the meaning of "XuanYing YinYi".Firstly,the author briefly introduces XuanYing and"XuanYing YinYi";Then we introduce the research status of "XuanYing YinYi”;then,we briefly summarizes the characters of the Scriptures interpreted in the Scriptures and Scriptures(words)through the comparison of the Scriptures interpreted in "XuanYing YinYi" with the existing Buddhist scriptures.In the third chapter,the author makes a comparative study on the characters(words),the target words and the characters(words)of the scriptures in“XuanYing YinYi".The author classifies the characters into four categories based on the relation of the characters(words)and the target words,and divides the characters into four categories:synonyms,variant characters,ancient and modern characters,common false characters and other comprehensive relations.Chapter four proves the correctness and error of some target words in "XuanYing YinYi".The fifth chapter is the main part of this paper.This chapter lists 62 representative entries in "XuanYing YinYi",and makes a comparative study on them.which involves some difficult entries.The appendix is accompanied by a list of the characters(words),the target words and the original text of the scriptures.This table makes exhaustive statistics on the characters(words)of the verses in "XuanYing YinYi".
