A Study On The Remains Of The Neolithic Period In The Tuojiazhou Ruins

The Tujiazhou site is located in Dongfeng Village,Yun County,Shiyan City,Hubei Province,and is located in the Danjiangkou Reservoir Area at the junction of Shanxi,Henan and Hubei.The site was investigated and discovered in 1958.After the cultural relics protection project of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project was launched,the Department of Archaeology of Wuhan University officially excavated it from August 2011 to January 2012 and discovered the Laoguantai culture,Xiyin culture,Qujialing culture,Shijiahe culture,Eastern Zhou and Tang Dynasties.This article takes the Neolithic relics obtained by this excavation as the research object.Among them,there are few cultural relics found in Laoguantai,and there are only ash pits in the remains.The main combination of utensils includes deep-bellied pots,circle foot bowls,lids,bowls,and small-mouth wide-shoulder pots.These are the cultural relics first discovered in northwestern Hubei.The cultural relics of Xiyin are not much enough,and there are only ash pits in the ruins.The main types of utensils include drum-bellied pots,deep-bellied pots,painted pottery curved belly pots,milk-shaped deep belly pots,painted pottery bowls,plain bowls,etc.It’s in the middle stage of Xiyin culture.Qujialing cultural relics are relatively rich,and the remains include houses,ash pits,and urn coffins.The main combination of utensils includes high-necked cans,folding cans,cups,bowls,pots,and lids.They belong to Qujialing Cultural Youth.The type of the second phase of Longquan is in the early stage of Qujialing culture.The Shijiahe cultural relics are the most abundant.The relics include house sites,ash pits,ash ditches,and kiln sites.The main utensil combinations include wide flat foot tripods,highnecked tanks,fold-edge tanks,inclined belly cups,high-handle cups,and pots.,Zeng,Qi Gai,etc.,belong to the Shijiahe culture Qinglongquan three-phase type,the era belongs to the early stage of Shijiahe culture.Of the four archaeological cultures in the Neolithic period of the Tuojiazhou site,the Laoguantai culture mainly comes from the Guanzhong area,and the Xiyin culture mainly comes from the Central Plains area.They all reflect the southward movement of the northern culture and the control of the Danjiangkou reservoir area.The Qujialing culture and the Shijiahe culture mainly come from the Jianghan Plain,reflecting the culture of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River to the north of the Danjiangkou Reservoir area and replacing the northern culture.
