Research On The Practical Characteristic Of Marx’s "New Materialism"

New materialism is " Materialism in practice",and its practical characteristic is the essential characteristic of new materialism.In the Outline of Feuerbach,Marx pointed out that the old philosophy of the past tended to explain the world,but the problem was to change the world,with clearly limit to the past philosophy,and to establish the most basic feature of the new philosophy,namely Practical characteristic.Based on the development of Marx’s early thought,this paper studies the practical characteristic of Marx in the process of creating"new materialism".On the one hand,it explores the development path of the practical characteristic of new materialism.On the other hand,the influence of Marx’s Practical characteristic in historical period was explored.It is more clearly demonstrated that the practical characteristic of new materialism is the philosophy of Marx’s all revolutionary theories.The practical characteristic,like the Archimedes point,supports its standing in the grand hall of historical materialism.Although the new materialist philosophy has a history of more than 170 years since its establishment,the "practical characteristic" contained in it still has a value that will never fade.It will deepen the reform in China,achieve the two hundred-year goals,and build socialist modernization Strengthening country,realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,and going deeper into history and farther into the future have scientific theoretical guiding significance.The thesis is divided into five parts.The first part discusses the concept of new materialism and the expression of its practical characteristic.The second part is from religious criticism to political criticism.When the young Hegelians stayed in the circle of religious criticism,Marx believed that religious criticism was important,but it was not enough to limit it to religious criticism.Religious critique stays in the theoretical field,and it is necessary to transform to political critique,to overthrow the old system,establish a new system,and change the existing world.Therefore,it is necessary to face reality and change from religious criticism to political criticism,which is the initial manifestation of practical characteristic in the process of Marx’s transition to the new materialism worldview.The third part,from critical weapons to critique of weapons.Marx believes that just political criticism is still a theoretical criticism.The theoretical criticism as a critical weapons cannot replace the critique of weapons.The purpose of political criticism is to mobilize the masses to overthrow the backward feudal autocracy and establish advanced the bourgeois system,and then socialism and communism.All in all,the practical characteristic of this stage is manifested out of the scope of theoretical criticism and resort to material practice and practical struggle.The fourth part,from explaining the world to changing the world.Through the conversion from the critique of religion to the critique of political,from the critical weapons to the critique of weapons,and finally rose to the height of theory,in the Outline of Feuerbach,the practical characteristic of new materialism is highlighted.Each outline of the "Outline" revolves around "practice".In Marx’s view,practice is the basis of epistemology,and practice is also the basis of historical views.In Marx’s new worldview,people who are historical premises are realistic people who are engaged in material production practice.The essence of all social life is also practical,and people and society are full of the imprint of practice.Therefore,the essence of the new philosophy of Marxism Characteristic is practical characteristic,which is also the biggest difference from previous old philosophy.The fifth part is the historical status and contemporary significance of the practical characteristic of new materialism.Although Marxist philosophy is a speculative philosophical theory,it still focuses on the study of realistic issues and is a philosophy that changes the world.Therefore,the practical characteristic has enlightenment for how to develop Marxist philosophy and change reality with philosophical guidance under new historical conditions.In short,the practical characteristic is the most essential characteristic of New Materialism,which runs through the development of Marx’s early thought.Marx drew experience from specific revolutionary struggles,raised his perceptual knowledge into scientific revolutionary theories,and then used scientific theories to guide realistic practical struggles.The so-called "interpreting the world" philosophy used to guide "changing the world" should itself be derived from the process of "changing the world".Therefore,Marx said that the problem lies in changing the world.Practice is the scientific source of knowledge and the only criterion of testing truth.The "practical characteristic" of new materialism is still worthy of careful tasted in the modern era.
