The Exploration Of Morpheme Consciousness Cultivation Of Indonesian Intermediate Chinese-level Learners

As a kind of metalinguistic awareness,morpheme awareness plays an important role in the development of language competence of Chinese learners as a second language.The paper takes 40 adult Chinese learners at the intermediate level in Indonesia as the research object.Firstly,the author integrates morpheme awareness cultivation program into the specific vocabulary teaching,embodied in using the "Word Splitting""Etymological analysis" "Radical summary analysis" "Word Meaning Analysis" "Word association exercise" "Meaning discrimination practice" "Contextual cultivation" "To construct the meaning of a new word from the meaning of an old word" eight steps of the new words on the concrete teaching case design and implementation,so as to explore a suitable morpheme awareness cultivation plan for the intermediate Chinese learners.Secondly,The author uses SPSS21.0 as a statistical analysis tool to analyze the feedback and data collected from classroom observations,interviews,questionnaires,etc.,so as to explore the effectiveness of the morpheme awareness cultivation program.At the same time,the author explores the relationship between various aspects of morpheme awareness(paragraph awareness,homomorphic morpheme awareness)and reading comprehension of intermediate-level Indonesian Chinese learners through statistical analysis such as descriptive statistics,Pearson correlation analysis and regression analysis.Finally,the author reflects and summarizes the implementation process of the morpheme awareness cultivation program,and puts forward some teaching suggestions for morpheme awareness cultivation.The results of this study show that:1.Adult Chinese learners at intermediate level have higher requirements for vocabulary learning,and hold a supportive attitude towards new words teaching based on morpheme awareness cultivation program.2.Indonesian adult Chinese learners at the intermediate level already have a certain morpheme awareness,and morpheme awareness has a predictive effect on reading comprehension.3.The cultivation program of morpheme awareness can improve learners’ morpheme awareness and reading comprehension ability to a certain extent.Teachers should consciously cultivate and train student’s morpheme awareness.
