| The documentary presents a unique way of remembering the victims of The Holocaust,named Stumbling Stones(Stolpersteine),whose founder,Gunter Demnig,has laid more than 70,000 stumbling stones in 1,265 towns of Germany and 21 European countries over the past two decades.Families and descendants of Holocaust victims can commemorate their loved ones and remember history by customizing stumbling stones and holding installation ceremonies.Local habitants in German society can also serve as volunteers to facilitate the placement and promotion of stumbling stones,so as to reflect on history and educate younger generations.The documentary mainly focuses on the story of an Israeli family who came to Berlin to lay down five stumbling stones at MotzstraBe 82 and held a warm and solemn ceremony with the help of the members of Berlin-Friedenau initiatives. |
