A Study Of Agnes Heller’s Early Ethical Aesthetics

Agnes Heller is a famous Hungarian neo-Marxist theorist in Eastern Europe.With realistic vision and humanistic care,Heller is deeply rooted in the philosophical tradition of intertwining ethical and aesthetic issues in the history of western philosophy,fully absorbing ancient Greek philosophical aesthetics,Kant’s moral aesthetics,Marxian critical theory and Lukacs’ ethical aesthetics,and constructing ethical aesthetics with distinctive personal characteristics.This dissertation focuses on Agnes Heller’s Early Ethical Aesthetics.Her thought shows obvious stage differentiation,and early stage is the beginning and foundation of his thought development,and her ethical aesthetics contains many original propositions that need to be paid attention to.Heller started with keywords such as everyday life,personality,emotion and need along the thinking of ontology-anthropology-sociology,and always connected them closely with aesthetic and artistic problems,which constituted the foundation,pursuit and critical framework of her early ethical aesthetics.In Heller’s early ethical aesthetic system,on the one hand,from the perspective of the ethical aesthetic relationship of everyday life,the ethical aesthetic relationship of modern daily life is analyzed from the philosophical point of view,which reflects the thinking and core of ethical aesthetic discipline;On the other hand,Heller’s early ethical aesthetics also expressed concern and concern about the anomie of human nature,the lack of emotion and the need for alienation in the modern society since the development of capitalism.On this basis,she further explored the pursuit of the beautiful homeland of human beings.Between meaningful life and aesthetic life,she made artistic creation and utopian mission play,and made everyday life glow with humanitarianism again,thus establishing the beautiful homeland of human beings.Therefore,the first chapter of this dissertation combs the relationship between ethics and aesthetics,grasps the discipline characteristics and development context of ethical aesthetics,introduces the theoretical horizon and thinking approach of Heller’s core issues,and introduces in detail the specific theoretical sources of her thoughts from ancient Greece,Kant,Marx,Lukacs and others.The second chapter is based on Heller’s early important theoretical works,such as Everyday Life,Renaissance Man,Marx’s Theory of Needs,Radical Philosophy,Emotion Theory,etc.,grasping his early attention to ethical aesthetics,combing his main viewpoints and general outline.The third chapter will clearly analyze the unique context of Heller’s early ethical aesthetics,his own relatively independent discourse system and strong and distinct personal characteristics: including such three characters as ontology,praxis,and critique.In the conclusion part,the main ideas of the full text will be combed,and the enlightenment and reference significance brought by it will be considered in combination with the research practice of contemporary Chinese aesthetics from Agnes Heller’s ethical aesthetics.Establishing an ethical and aesthetic thought in line with China’s national conditions and characteristics is not only the embodiment of theoretical consciousness and self-confidence,but also the requirement of realizing people’s realistic demand for a better life.Agnes Heller’s early ethical aesthetics explored the possibility of a good human life from an aesthetic perspective,pursued the humane value of art with ethical concern,and paid attention to the true existence of human beings,thus providing important theoretical resources.This dissertation will be based on the core issues of ethical aesthetics,highlighting the unique positioning of Heller’s early aesthetic thoughts,and highlighting the significance and value of research.In a broad academic field of vision,we should focus on aesthetic issues,accurately grasp Heller’s early important thoughts on ethical aesthetics,systematically sort out the specific connotation of Heller’s early thoughts,and at the same time highlight China’s problems and China’s position.
