To Be:the Interpretation Of "Criticizing Shen" Articles From 1924 To 1948

Shen Congwen was a writer who received surging criticism.On March 1,1948,the first series of Public Literature and Art Series published critical articles about Shen Congwen by Shao Quanlin,Guo Moruo and Feng Naichao.This articles called Shen Congwen a "counter revolutionary force against the people".The following spring,Shen Congwen failed to commit suicide under mental pressure.Qian Liqun and other researchers whose linked Shen Congwen’s mental collapse with the overwhelming criticism in China around 1949 made a detailed analysis and interpretation.Inspired by previous first-class studies,my paper focuses on criticism articles of Shen Congwen from 1924 to 1948,and tries to find the law of the development and evolution of critical voice on Shen Congwen before the storm of "criticizing Shen" in the Public Literature and Art Series.In this way,we can further understand the proposition of "Time" put forward by three articles "criticizing Shen"in the Popular Literature and Art Series,as well as the complex relationship between Shen Congwen and his "Time".The first chapter of the paper takes Shen Congwen’s writer identity as the starting point,combs and analyzes the literary criticism on Shen Congwen in the "criticizing Shen" article,summarizes the four common characteristics of literary criticism articles and the theoretical support of "realism" behind them,and discusses the concept of"realism" in the modern literary period by comparing the gap between Shen Congwen’s literary concept and "realism".The second chapter focuses on Shen Congwen’s image structure of social participants.Shen Congwen is an active discussant of social issues.He once expressed his views on social atmosphere and government policies in prose or essays in different periods,which also led to different opinions of discussion or criticism.This chapter selects several representative social topic criticisms in which Shen Congwen is involved to investigate the ideological tendency of the whole society and the attempt to interpret Shen Congwen’s "stay away from the masses".The third chapter regards Shen Congwen as a serious thinker in Modern.This chapter holds that Shen Congwen and "criticizing Shen" belong to a huge ideological field of the times.They have conceived similar but different political designs for the establishment of an ideal political body.This chapter intends to select four key words:"the May 4th Movement","revolution","people" and "experts" to compare the similarities and differences between the political and ideological theories of the opposite sides.
