| Wood carving has been continuously explored on its own material advantages,and the creative techniques and forms of expression are no longer bound by meticulous carving.The integration of Chinese traditional cultural interest,as well as the spiritual communication and expression sought by the creator,make the freehand spirit of Chinese traditional culture continue to develop and continue in contemporary woodcarving.It can also be said that the status of contemporary woodcarving in art must be improved under the influence of profound Chinese culture.Compared with traditional woodcarving,contemporary woodcarving has undergone great changes in terms of expression and artistic ideas.This change has made Chinese artists pay more attention to the spirit of Chinese freehand culture and integrate Chinese freehand culture and ideas into contemporary woodcarving creation.It quickly grew into a freehand woodcarving with the spirit of Chinese aesthetic culture,and at the same time became an indispensable spiritual subject in freehand woodcarving.Freehand woodcarving is to express the "meaning" that other materials cannot achieve through the advantages of materials,and "meaning" itself has no shape,and can only be presented by "image",so it is generally called "image",which is a combination of subjective emotions and objective things..How to express the "meaning" that you want to express in freehand woodcarving requires a certain form of expression and modeling language to unify the subjective and objective.The core of this paper is to build on the existing theoretical research on freehand sculpture,combining the freehand woodcarving works of three sculptors,Zhu Ming,Sun Jiabo and Xu Guangfu with their own graduation creations,to analyze the contemporary freehand woodcarving from multiple angles of modeling language.The communication of "Yi" in wood and the reflection of the characteristics of wood itself in "Yi" are explored,and the new understanding in freehand woodcarving is discussed from two levels of "metaphysical" and "metaphysical".Finally,it summarizes the combination of emotional expression and wood language in the creation of contemporary freehand woodcarving,as well as the spiritual manifestation and social mission of contemporary freehand woodcarving in the development of art. |
