| For China’s development, the modernization experience of Japan as a neighboring developed country can often be used as a reference.Although the Japanese scholar Morishima became famous as an economist,he combined economic and social theories, and his views on Japan’s development and crisis awareness are of reference significance to China.Morishima’s related theories,as an applied school of Weber’s theory in the study of East Asian culture, have carried out a considerable degree of localization and application of Weber’s theory introduced from the U.S..From the current perspective, the characteristics and deficiencies of Morishima’s theory are very obvious, but in today’s East Asian road research and Weber’s research, similar problems still often appear. Therefore, with the theories and problems of the two books written by Morishima at different stages of Japan’s development, analyzing the advantages and main problems of his methodology can summarize his main ideas, and also discusses the future. The Weber Studies and East Asian Studies provide certain experience. This article focuses on Morishima’s work "Why is Japan ‘Successful’?" and "Why do I expect Japan to collapse?" The Japanese National Spirit Theory and its role in the modernization of Japan are studied. From the perspective of cultural comparison, the theory of religious sociology is used to distinguish Morishima’s methodology, and then it is proposed at different stages."National Spirit Theory" discusses methods and arguments, and then analyzes the problems that are easy to appear in the application stage of Japanese national psychoanalysis, and finally puts forward views on how to use it to understand social development,to understand the national spirit of Japan and even East Asia. The thesis is divided into three chapters for analysis and discussion. In chapter One,the main content of the book and the author’s main arguments of "Japanese National Spiritualism" are sorted out in more detail by the text of "Why is Japan ‘Successful’?".In chapter two,Morishima’s " Why do I expect Japan to collapse?" which published about 20 years later, organized its content and arguments, and explained its exploration and sociological methodology. In chapter three, the author obtained the similarity of Morishima’s main arguments in the two works through further investigation, and the two main problems that appeared in the national psychoanalysis:static state theory and ethnocentrism Through the analysis, the problems that should be paid attention to when investigating with socio-religious methodology are drawn, and at the same time,Morishima’s true appeal image in different historical stages is restored.Through the analysis and discussion of the above three chapters, the conclusion can be drawed.Morishima’s theory of Japanese national spirit is based on the Weber view of Japanese academic circles during the second Weber boom in post-war Japan, and integrates a variety of sociological methods such as population history.Made a summary and explanation of the reality and problems in Japan with a certain ability to explain.Although the titles of the two books published by Morishima at the time of Japan’s economic prosperity and decline are diametrically opposed, the problematic awareness and methodology used in them are basically the same. The latter book is not the overthrow of the former concept but the inheritance and development. At the same time, due to the use of methodology and historical factors,Morishima’s argument has some unavoidable problems, but this is not a reflection of his personal true intentions.Morishima also actively promoted East Asian cooperation as a progressive scholar. At the same time,in Weber’s research and East Asian research,we should also take into account the actual situation and eliminate relevant backward theories that safeguard specific interest groups in the dissemination of theories,so as to make better use of the positive role of national spirit on the basis of developing productivity The further development of the country and the stability of multilateral relations. |
