Texts are an important part of Chinese textbooks and one of the main objects of research on Chinese textbooks.At present,the academic circles have conducted a lot of research on the texts of Chinese textbooks,but the current research is mostly focused on the level of language elements,such as new words,vocabulary,and grammar.Compared with general second language teaching,Chinese education focuses more on the cultivation of Chinese cultural heritage.A considerable part of the texts in Chinese textbooks are selected from literary works,and literary works are one of the important carriers of Chinese culture.Therefore,it is of great significance to carry out systematic research on the selection of literary works in Chinese textbooks.However,the current research results on the selection and compilation of literary works in Chinese textbooks are relatively scattered,and there is a lack of systematic and in-depth research.This paper takes two representative Chinese textbooks of the middle school editions "Zhong Wen" and "Han Yu" as the research object,using quantitative statistics,comparative methods and other methods to examine the types,themes,genres,and writing years of the literary works in the two textbooks.Statistical analysis,explore their characteristics and shortcomings in the selection of literary works,and further propose targeted suggestions.First,this paper classified and analyzed the literary works of two sets of Chinese textbooks "Chinese" and "Chinese",and found that the compilation of selected literary works of Chinese textbooks is not reasonable enough,and there are deficiencies in the types,genres,and themes of literary works.Second,on the basis of statistical analysis and based on the characteristics of the selected texts,we have summarized five specific principles that need to be followed in the selection and compilation of literary works in Chinese textbooks.Third,this paper believes that the selection of literary works should highlight practicality,enhance interest,and pay attention to the reasonable distribution of difficulty while enriching the genre.This paper provides a reference for the revision of the selection of literary works in the future Chinese textbooks,and at the same time puts forward preliminary thoughts on the improvement of the theory of literary works in the Chinese textbooks.
