This edition of Guo Yu was revised by Lu Zhiyi,a doctor in Hangzhou. This book was born in the late Ming Dynasty, which was the period of rapid development of Guo Yu commentary,as well as the flourishing period of folk carving industry. Therefore,Lu Zhiyi, the author of books and periodicals, was both a doctor and a master of fang carvings, and as the product of this particular period, his work Guo Yu is of certain value to reflect the social atmosphere, academic thoughts, fang carvings and other aspects of the late Ming Dynasty. In addition to the introduction, the main body of this paper can be divided into three parts: "editor","book" and "comment".This paper studies the editor Lu Zhiyi, the status of the completion of the book and the characteristics of the comment content in three major aspects, and then provides reference for the survival of scholars in the late Ming Dynasty and the study of the comment on Guo Yu.Although the contents of each chapter are somewhat independent due to different emphases, they are all carried out around the study of the connotation and extension of Lu Zhiyi’s Guo Yu Mandarin.Specifically, they are as follows:The first chapter mainly introduces the life of Lu Zhiyi, the editor of Guo Yu,and makes a correct account of him, involving the date of his birth and death and the related issues of the south Ming regime,as well as the date of his father Lu Fu.This chapter focuses on the study of Lu’s carving career in the two generations, combing Lu’s book carving bibliography and combining with his living conditions in the late Ming Dynasty,it comes to the conclusion that the meaning behind Lu’s book carving lies in the pursuit of the integration of the "scholar" group. The second chapter studies the style and circulation of Lu Zhiyi’s Guo Yu and the purpose of choosing the revision base.At the same time, this chapter examines the time when Lu Zhiyi’s Guo Yu was printed, and discusses the nature of his book as a reference book for the imperial examination. The third chapter is the study of the 13 comments selected from Lu Zhiyi’s mandarin. In particular, this chapter makes a detailed analysis of the commentaries of Sun Kuang, which is a large part of the book, and compares the collection of commentaries with other Ming Dynasty versions of Guo Yu.Besides discussing the characteristics of their commentaries on Guo Yu,this paper also discusses their position in the development history of the commentaries on Guo Yu and their influence on the successors. The appendices of this paper are six kinds of commentary on Guo Yu in Ming Dynasty, which are mainly excerpted from six printed editions of Guo Yu in late Ming Dynasty, sorted out and corrected to show the overall development of commentary on Guo Yu in Ming Dynasty more intuitively.
