| Brahms is not only a German pianist and composer in the romantic period, but also an important representative of German music culture. He respected the idea of classical music all his life, and his works have the characteristics of both classical and romantic. This thesis takes two piano Rhapsodies as the research object, and makes a comparative analysis of the two works from the perspectives of theory and practice. This work is different from other Rhapsody genres. Its creative technique and musical style have the dual characteristics of classicality and romanticism.Through the comparative analysis of the performance skills of the two works and the comparison of the performance versions, this paper explores the different embodiment of the same music elements in each work,so as to have a basic understanding of Brahms’s piano music and better interpret the work in the performance. |
