Research On Yuan Haowen’s Poetic Thought

Mr.Yuan Haowen,a scholar in the late Jin Dynasty and the early Yuan Dynasty,was a humble scholar with extensive knowledge and rich writings.He is a traditional Confucian scholar who is sensible and loves his country and people.It is also a literary warrior who is not afraid of controversy and saves history with poetry.His son Hao Jing wrote in "Inscription on the Tomb of Mr.Left Mountain" : "With the death of Bianliang,all the old people were gone,so Mr.Bianliang became a master of art.For more than 30 years,he was the only one who had distinguished himself in the world." It can be seen that Yuan Haowen’s poetic achievements were beyond doubt at that time,and his literary attainments and poetic thoughts also enriched many later literati.As Yuan Haowen’s early poetic theory works,"Thirty Poems" has a great influence in Chinese classical poetic theory can not be underestimated.However,as vast as the sea,Mr.Yishan’s poetics are not limited to one,but scattered in many poems,essays and postscripts.This paper will take Yuan Haowen’s prose,poetry and theory as the research object,and summarize and refine Yuan Haowen’s poetic thought as the research goal.In the introduction part,Yuan Haowen’s poetics are summarized,and its research status is basically sorted out.At the same time,the purpose and significance of this study are put forward.The first chapter is an exploration of the cultural origin of Yuan Haowen’s poetic theory.It adopts the method of understanding people and discussing the world,starting from two aspects:Yuan Haowen’s life experience and cultural tendency.Based on the historical background of Jin Yuan Dynasty and ethnic integration,the unique life experiences constitute an important part of the poetics theory of Yishan.At the same time,Yuan Yushan was deeply influenced by the Confucian culture,and the idiosyncrasies of national culture also had great significance for Yuan Haowen’s poetic theory.The second chapter mainly discusses Yuan Haowen’s poetics concept.First of all,the theory of "chanting emotion" has been ignored by many scholars,but it is the foundation and source of Yuan Haowen’s poetics.This paper sorts out the reasons for the formation and development of "chanting emotion",and explains the specific performance of chanting emotion in Yuan’s poetics."Honesty as the foundation" is the theoretical pillar of Yuan Haowen’s poetics.All his poetics theories are constructed on the basis of the word "honesty",which is transformed from the level of social ethics to the level of artistic aesthetics,and concretly manifested through the relationship between literary quality and character,the realist people-oriented thought and the neutralization of implicit connotation."Interworking of poetry and Zen" is the most exquisite part of Yuan Haowen’s poetic thought."Zen in the mind,poetry in speech" reveals the relationship between poetry and Zen body.The idea of "learning without learning" is put forward to guide the creation of poetry with the idea of Zen,and to reveal the concrete performance of poetry with Zen in poetics creation,thus proving the poetics concept of the intercommunication between poetry and Zen.The third chapter mainly summarizes Yuan Haowen’s poetic criticism,including the elegant and orthodox guiding ideology,the generous and magnificent poetry style,the language art of natural beauty,the above three as the standard aesthetic criticism.At the same time,we pay attention to Yuan Haowen’s unique criticism method,which is to explore the poet’s background and grasp the poet’s spiritual world.There are image-criticism methods that use embroidery,music,painting,chess,medicine,soldiers and other images to metaphor poetry.There is also a comprehensive and systematic poetics criticism system,which is composed by the combination of various criticism methods and the punchline syntax.The fourth chapter summarizes the significance and influence of Yuan Haowen’s poetics.As far as classical poetics is concerned,the poetry theory of the Mountain is a necessary link between the preceding and the following.He inherits the tradition of classical criticism consciously upward and inspires later literati to discuss poetry downward.In the literary circle at that time,the retro view of Yuan Haowen’s poetics had the use of reversing the literary style.At the same time,Zhongzhou Collection,which he compiled with great effort,filled the blank of the literary history of the Jin Dynasty and embodied his responsibility to record history with poetry.In short,Yuan Haowen’s poetics thought is like a boundless building,towering and grand,worthy of further study by later scholars.
