Research On Family Writing Of Xu Yigua’s Novels

As an excellent female writer,Xu Yigua always adheres to the feelings of humanistic intellectuals.She writes about ordinary people under the background of history and reality,and her realistic concern is embodied under the surface of family life.This paper selects the dimension of family writing in Xu Yigua’s novels and interprets the family writing in Xu Yigua’s novels through the method of text analysis and literary theory.This document is divided into three parts: introduction,text and summary: the introductory part introduces the overall outlook on the writing and study of Xu Yigua’s novels,clarifies the relevant theoretical concepts such as "family writing" and defines the significance of the topic.The first chapter is the deconstruction of "family" in Xu Yigua’s novels,and discusses the literary presentation of family problems in Xu Yigua’s novels from four aspects: dissolving authority,unbalanced marriage,waiting loneliness and alienated self.The novel shows the violent paternity and the declining maternal nature.The father hovering in the middle of "power" and "kinship" makes the children have the "hatred father" emotion.In the confrontation parent-child relationship,the mother becomes the father’s accomplice and echo,and loses the maternal warmth.In unbalanced marriage,the husband is absent,and male dignity is challenged and doubted.Women are bound by the status of wives and try to break free from the shackles of marriage.Forgotten old people and abandoned children present lonely plight,family ties are fragile.The alienated self presents two states: avoidance attachment and resistance.Under civilization,the core of the family has been devastated.The second chapter is about the causes of family deconstruction and Xu Yigua’s creative intention.It discusses the reasons of family deconstruction from three aspects:the context of The Times,the cultural background and the creative intention of Xu Yigua’s family.The context of family problems is mainly economic development in social transformation,political change in the flood of history,and the cultural background is the expansion of consumerism and the influence of individualism.The purpose of the creation is to see through the contemporary social landscape,examine the modern family ethics,and observe the individual spiritual world.The third chapter is the reconstruction of "home" in Xu Yigua’s novels.It discusses how to find a way to rebuild family in Xu Yigua’s novels from four aspects: seeking home,seeking redemption,returning civilization and staying on the road forever.Her characters are searching for a place to go,a sense of identity.Others turn trauma into motivation in search of redemption,trying to grow and heal through self-healing,or trying to be reborn through the help of others.The author seeks the return of civilization,the reconstruction of family order,the reconstruction of the ideal "father" image and the reconstruction of the harmonious intimate relationship as a way to reconciliation.But in reality,most people find no solution after interrogating the truth of life,and find no place to live after searching for spiritual home.
