With the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, there are more and more overseas students in China.Among them, the proportion of overseas students who receive higher education is increasing, and the demand of international students for writing Chinese academic papers is also rising rapidly.Dissertation is a very important link in academic education, and it is one of the important standards to test the academic and academic level of international students in all stages of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degrees. As the beginning of the full text of a dissertation,it is an essential part of a paper. It undertakes the task of introducing the research background, research problems, research methods and the significance and value of research, and its writing quality is also an important basis for measuring a paper. However,at present, the research on academic paper writing mainly focuses on the field of academic English, and less attention is paid to the paper writing in the field of academic Chinese, and the research on the writing part of Chinese thesis introduction is almost blank. This research is based on the CNKI doctoral dissertation database and the full text database of the foreign students’ dissertations of Beijing Language and Culture University. In addition, this research also collected 120 dissertations of linguistics and applied linguistics, including 40 doctoral dissertations of Korean foreign students in China,40 master’s dissertations of Korean foreign students in China,40 bachelor’s dissertations of Korean foreign students in China, and 40 doctoral dissertations of Chinese foreign students,Based on this, four small corpus of thesis introduction are established. This paper adopts the research method based on the combination of corpus and corpus-driven,uses Corpus WordParser,Antconc and other software, and combines with manual screening to extract words and high-frequency chunks from the corpus. This paper refers to the CARS introduction analysis model proposed by Swales(1990),the classification framework of the structure of lexical chunks by Biber et al.(1999)and the functional classification framework of lexical chunks by Hyland(2008).This paper annotates the structure and textual function of the extracted two-and-three word chunks, and uses the Log-likelihood and Chi-square Calculator to conduct a chi-square test.By comparing the use of two-and-three word chunks with different structures and functions in various corpora,it puts forward targeted suggestions.Through the comparative analysis of different corpora, this paper draws the following conclusions:First,in the use of high-frequency lexical chunks of two or three words, the four corpora show certain similarities.Verb chunks, noun chunks and adjective chunks account for a large proportion, while prepositional chunks and sentence stem chunks account for a small proportion; The research-oriented lexical chunks account for a large proportion, while the text-oriented and participant-oriented lexical chunks account for a small proportion.Secondly, with the improvement of language proficiency, the frequency and abundance of lexical chunks used by learners are generally on the rise.In terms of the frequency of lexical chunks and the number of class symbols of the second and third words, the Korean bachelor’s degree to the Korean master’s degree is basically on the rise; The frequency of standardization of the second and third lexical chunks of Chinese doctors is generally higher than that of Korean doctors.Thirdly, language proficiency is not completely positively correlated with the frequency of lexical chunks and the number of class symbols. In the use of two-word sentence stem lexical chunks, the number of class symbols of Korean doctors is significantly higher than that of Korean masters, but the frequency of sentence stem lexical chunks is lower than that of Korean masters. This may be due to the lack of writing experience of low-level Chinese learners, who will rely more on stylized expressions when writing papers.Based on the structure and functional classification framework of lexical chunks by Biber et al(1999),Hyland(2008)and others, this paper makes a comparative analysis of high-frequency lexical chunks of two or three words in the introduction part of academic dissertations in different stages of linguistics and applied linguistics in China and South Korea from different perspectives, with a view to finding out the problems existing in the introduction writing of academic dissertations by Korean foreign students in China and serving the writing and teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, and put forward some targeted suggestions.
