Research On The Application And Conservation Of Weifang Historic City

The declaration of national Historic city has always been an important work content for the conservation of Chinese historic cities.In 2020,the state promulgated the "Management Measures for the Declaration of National Historic city(for Trial Implementation)",which further clarified the relevant criteria of Historic city,expanded the historical and cultural values of Historic city,and refined the criteria of relevant material carriers and spatial environment,but how to define the scope of Historic urban area in different historical periods was not covered.At the same time,there are many Historic city with outstanding historical and cultural values,but the urban pattern and appearance have been destroyed and the traditional Historic Conservation Area do not exist,and Weifang is one of the typical cities in the declaration of national Historic city.Taking the declaration of Weifang as a national historic city as an example,and taking into account the above-mentioned approach and international documents in the field of historic town conservation such as the Washington Charter,it is undoubtedly of great practical value and theoretical significance to discuss how to define the Historic urban area of a Historic city in the new era,how to extend the relevant material carriers and spatial environment,and to propose relevant declaration strategies and conservation suggestions.The thesis first analyzes the history of the ancient city of Weifang and the changes of the urban spatial pattern through the relevant urban history and cultural research and the analysis of the local history of the Ming and Qing dynasties and the Republic of China,so as to lay the historical foundation for the subsequent delineation of the Historic urban area;and refines the historical and cultural values and connotations of Weifang as a famous city of the North Sea with diversified intermingling,a salt center with the advantage of proximity to the sea,a major town of industry and trade with the main traffic routes,and a place of colorful folklore,so as to lay the historical and cultural foundation for the protection and declaration of the Historic city.Secondly,the existing material carriers of Weifang as a provincial Historic city is studied.By analyzing the preservation status of traditional pattern and historical townscape,the scope of Historical urban area in different historical periods matching with historical and cultural values is delineated,and the overall development history of Weifang city is presented;then the preservation status of Historic Conservation Area is analyzed and collated,the eligible Historic Conservation Area is identified,and the scope of Historic Conservation Area proposed for protection is determined;the protection and utilization status of Officially protected monuments and sites and historic building in urban areas is mainly analyzed and collated,so as to enrich and improve the Historic city.In order to enrich and improve the three levels of the protection system of the famous cities--Historic urban area,Historic Conservation Area,Officially protected monuments and sites and historic building,and to lay the spatial foundation for the declaration and protection of the Historic city..Finally,by analyzing the declaration mechanism of national Historic city and the trend of the declaration in recent years,we summarize the key points and new ideas of the declaration in the new era;analyze whether Weifang provincial Historic city have the conditions to be declared as national Historic city according to the declaration criteria,discuss how to match the connotation and extension of the Historic city after the extension of historical and cultural values in a city like Weifang with a "fragmented" pattern and townscape,and propose corresponding conservation suggestions.
