Application Of TPR Teaching Method In International Chinese Online Teaching

With the smooth promotion of Chinese culture and Chinese online teaching,the number of teachers carrying out international Chinese education through the Internet in China is also gradually increasing.However,due to the limitation of objective conditions,teachers and students in online teaching can not interact well,and students’ attention is not concentrated,which makes teachers have great difficulties in the process of teaching.This study starts with "how to teach" and applies TPR teaching method(Total Physical Response,"whole body reaction method" or "body reaction method")to the online teaching of international Chinese education,aiming to solve the practical problems in online teaching and improve the quality of online Chinese teaching.The author has conducted international Chinese online teaching in Wukong Chinese for two years.Based on the characteristics of teaching environment,teaching courses and teaching objects,the author conducts comparative teaching analysis with students in different language environments as the research objects.Take the theory of TPR teaching method as the guidance to complete the teaching content and explore the teaching practice.This paper records in detail the teaching principles and demonstration of TPR teaching method and compares them with traditional teaching,showing the specific teaching process of TPR teaching method to attracting students’ attention through a variety of body movements,so as to improve the learning efficiency and learning results of students to the greatest extent in a limited time.Based on the classroom test results,we can verify the teaching effect,and prove the feasibility and superiority of TPR teaching method in the international Chinese online teaching.Research shows that the TPR teaching method helps to solve the practical problems of online teaching,improve students ’interest in learning Chinese,greatly enhance students’ confidence in learning Chinese,and improve the interaction between teachers and students in class.At the end of the article,we propose and summarize the advantages and disadvantages of TPR teaching in different language environments,and make some suggestions for the improvement: create a good international Chinese online teaching environment;adjust the use of TPR teaching method for students in different language environments;focus on Chinese expression teaching and integrate various teaching methods.It is hoped that it can provide reference for teachers who conduct international Chinese teaching online,and provide reference for the application of TPR teaching method in international Chinese online teaching.
