Gustav Mahler,the great Austrian conductor and composer of the 19th century,is one of the important representative figures in the later period of European Romanticism.In all of his works,art songs are an important field of his creation,among which the song collection Das Knaben Wunderhorn is very romantic.With rich themes and varied singing forms,the song collection is a rare masterpiece for vocal music learners to sing art songs.Taking three solo soprano art songs "Wer hat dies Liedlein erdacht","Das irdische Leben" and "Rheinlegendchen",in Mahler’s collection of songs Das Knaben Wunderhorn as the research objects,this paper covers four chapters.Chapter One is the research background,which introduces Mahler’s life,creation,and characteristics of his art songs.Chapter Two summarizes the general situation of the creation of the song collection Das Knaben Wunderhorn,which provides a research foundation for Chapter Three and Chapter Four.Chapter Three is the music ontology analysis of three art songs from the creation background,song content,musical form and tonal characteristics,melody characteristics,and piano accompaniment characteristics,aiming to provide a theoretical basis for the analysis of Chapter Four.On the basis of the above analysis of music ontology,Chapter Four has an overall analysis of the singing skills and emotional interpretation of these three art songs from the aspect of singing language,singing skills,and emotional grasp combined with the author’s own stage practice experience.
