| After the 1990 s,the Internet spread rapidly all over the world.Individuals can not only use the Internet to get the latest news first-hand,but also through online courses in the form of professional technical knowledge. The information age has been accompanied by an avalanche of fake news. Some fake news is related to the lives of individuals. Some users choose to share and spread fake news on social media platforms out of the attitude of "believe it rather than believe it",which brings a very bad impact.People who do not know the truth choose to believe fake news instead of news released by authoritative media platforms, which undermines credibility. In recent years,it has become a hot research topic to explore the factors that influence the willingness to share fake news.Studies have shown that repeated exposure can improve the processing fluency of fake news, and fake news with higher processing fluency is more likely to be regarded as true.Repeated exposure is an important factor that affects people’s belief, acceptance and sharing of information.Repeated exposure affects people’s willingness to share fake news headlines. In the context of fake news, people may choose to share news headlines with friends with high emotional arousal, because content that can arouse more people to have high emotional resonance is more likely to be shared.Emotional arousal may be an important factor influencing the willingness to share fake news headlines.Based on this, this study explores the effects of repeated exposure and emotional arousal on the willingness to share fake news.In this study, fake news headlines of social hot topics were used as experimental materials.Three experiments were conducted to explore the influence of repeated exposure on the willingness to share fake news and the regulating effect of emotional arousal.Experiment1 explored whether repeated exposure would affect the willingness to share fake news.Based on experiment 1,experiment 2 further explored the interaction of emotional arousal and repeated exposure on the willingness to share fake news.Due to the different times of repeated exposure adopted by predecessors,in order to further increase the stability of the research conclusions, experiment 3 again examined the interactive effects of repeated exposure times and emotional arousal on the intention to share fake news. This study draws the following conclusions:(1)Repeated exposure affects the willingness to share fake news headlines.Under repeated exposure, the willingness to share fake news headlines is greater.(2)Emotional arousal affects the intention to share fake news headlines.Under the condition of high emotional arousal, the intention to share fake news headlines is greater.(3)The effect of emotional arousal regulating repeated exposure on the intention to share fake news headlines.Under the condition of emotional arousal, the willingness to share fake news headlines with repeated exposure was significantly greater than that without repeated exposure.Under the condition of high emotional arousal, there was no significant difference in sharing intention between repeatedly exposed fake news headlines and non-repeatedly exposed fake news headlines. |
