A Research Of Academic Chinese Vocabulary List Based On Corpus Of Management Papers

In recent years,the academic structure of international students in China has been continuously optimized and upgraded.According to the statistics of the Ministry of Education of China in 2018,international students with academic qualifications have caught up with non-academic students and become the main body of international students in China.Among them,the management major ranked 5th,1st and 3rd respectively in the selection of majors for international students with bachelor’s,master’s and doctoral degrees.There are 30,757 international students with this major,and they urgently need to master academic Chinese knowledge to improve their academic reading and writing skills.Academic Chinese vocabulary is the most basic material that constitutes academic Chinese and an important factor restricting academic reading and writing,which should run through the teaching and learning of related majors.Based on the self-built corpus of management journal papers,this paper extracts and develops the Management Academic Chinese Vocabulary,which aims to help international students majoring in management to improve their academic reading and comprehension ability and academic paper writing level,and also provide a scientific vocabulary basis for the development of academic paper writing courses and the preparation of related textbooks and dictionaries.The main steps in the development of the "Management Academic Chinese Vocabulary" are:the first step:six management core journals selected in the "Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index",Peking University Library "Chinese Core Journals",and "FMS Management Science High-quality Journals Recommended List" were identified,and then the papers of these six journals in the decade from 2011 to 2020 were extracted from the database of photocopied newspapers and periodicals of Chinese Minmin University and their text was sorted out,creating a corpus of management academic Chinese journals with a total of about 6.83 million characters.Step 2:Use software to perform word segmentation processing on the corpus,word frequency,cross-text distribution statistics and usage calculation;Step 3:Establish subjective and objective criteria for selecting management academic Chinese vocabulary,and extract the Management Academic Chinese Vocabulary List according to the standards.After the thesaurus is generated,the validity evaluation and feature analysis of the thesaurus are carried out.Finally,combined with the characteristics of vocabulary,this paper puts forward relevant vocabulary teaching methods and academic paper writing guidance,hoping to be beneficial to the teaching and research in the field of academic Chinese.
