The informatization of university teaching is a necessary path for educational reform and development,and various new educational concepts are emerging one after another.The theory of ’student participation’ has received widespread attention from scholars.It emphasizes that the development of students’ abilities requires active participation in the learning process,as well as the need for universities to create a favorable environment to motivate students’ learning engagement.Meanwhile,the arrival of the 2019 epidemic has greatly promoted the development of online classrooms in China,and their unrestricted nature has brought great convenience to teaching.There are still many shortcomings in the current online classrooms in universities,such as a single teaching format,insufficient interactivity,and low student participation.In addition,the complete teaching practice includes three stages:teaching preparation,teaching activities,and teaching evaluation,and the sense of participation is an important indicator to determine the effectiveness of teaching activities.Therefore,the core research scenario of this article is online live streaming classes in universities.In order to improve student participation and classroom efficiency in online live streaming classes in universities,this article defines student participation in current online live streaming classes in domestic universities based on the theory of student participation.And through competitor analysis and user research,the main participation points for students in online live classes are divided into three categories:teacher-student interaction,student-student interaction,and assisted learning.Based on the above conclusions,a questionnaire survey and analysis were conducted to propose a model for the current situation and influencing factors of student participation in online live streaming classes in universities.Based on this model,strategies for enhancing student participation in live streaming classes in universities are proposed from three levels:teachers,students,and teaching platforms.Afterwards,strategies were used to guide design practice and tools were used to promote the participation of students in online live streaming classes in universities at the teaching platform level.Finally,this article tests the research and practical results,and the experimental results show that the platform has the best effect on enhancing students’ behavioral participation,followed by emotional participation,and cognitive participation has the smallest improvement effect.Overall,this article focuses more on enhancing student participation from the perspectives of students and platforms.However,currently,teachers are still the main players in domestic university classrooms.Therefore,it is necessary to pay attention to the teacher level and optimize teaching methods to achieve a more significant increase in student participation in online live classes in universities.
