A Study On The Chinese Translation Of Yi Classics From The Perspective Of Ecological Translatology

Yi ethnic group has left a large number of valuable Yi classics in the long-term historical development.It is not only an important carrier of Yi traditional culture,but also a treasure of Yi culture.It has great characteristics in subject matter,content and expression methods.As a representative Yi ancient book,Leoteyi contains a wide range of contents and rich knowledge of Yi ancient history,philosophy,folklore,religion,literature and other disciplines.It can be called an encyclopedia of Yi ethnic group.At present,the academic research on Leoteyi is mainly reflected in cultural interpretation and literary philosophy interpretation.There are only a few articles on the translation of Leoteyi,but there is less attention to the Chinese translation of Leoteyi,and the research on the analysis of Chinese translation by translation theory is still weak.In view of this,this paper selects Feng Yuanwei’s Chinese translation,which is the most abundant and influential among the many Chinese versions of Leoteyi,as the research object,and then studies the Chinese version of Leoteyi under the theoretical guidance of the domestic emerging ecological translatology,which has been widely used in the study of the translation of ethnic classics.By combing the relevant theoretical knowledge of ecological translatology,it is found that the theory of ecological translatology can make a tentative study on the Chinese translation of Leoteyi.Through the analysis of the Chinese translation of Leoteyi,it can be seen that the translator Feng Yuanwei translated Leoteyi in the spirit of being faithful to the original text and spreading the culture of Yi classics.In addition,he is both the arranger of Leoteyi and the translator of Leoteyi.He has dual identities,which makes him give full play to the translator’s subjective initiative in the process of translation,Choose to retain a large number of the language forms and characteristics of the original text of Leoteyi,and present the language style and cultural connotation of the original text to the greatest extent.However,since Yi and Chinese languages belong to different languages with cross-cultural information and A study on the Chinese translation of Yi classics from the perspective of ecological translatology are deeply influenced by the two ethnic cultures,there are some differences in the transformation between the two languages.Therefore,there are still some deficiencies in Feng Yuanwei’s translation,for which this paper makes some tentative amendments.Based on the analysis of ecological translatology on the Chinese translation of leoteyi,this paper further summarizes the strategies and methods of ecological translatology embodied in the Chinese translation of Leoteyi,so as to reveal the role of ecological Translatology in the Chinese translation of Yi classics.This thesis aims to prove that eco translatology can be applied to the research field of Chinese translation of Yi classics through the analysis of typical translation examples in the Chinese translation of Leoteyi.It is hoped that the writing of this paper can provide some references for the application of ecological translatology theory in the translation practice of Chinese versions of Yi classics,and also provide some new ideas for the research of Chinese versions of Yi classics.
