| The good organization of the financial system affects the stability of the economy,productivity and fairness of distribution.The banking sector in the financial system is facing great pressure and challenges due to the double impact of the epidemic and the slowdown of domestic economic growth.According to the data released by China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission(BCIRC),there are more than one million bank employees in China,a large and representative group.Therefore,this paper chooses to focus on the employees of the banking industry.The purpose of this study is to measure the correlation among the work motivation,work performance and self-esteem of the banking employees,and try to find out the way to stimulate the employees’ motivation,so as to provide certain suggestions for the achievement of the work performance,so as to achieve a win-win situation between the employees and the banking institutions.In order to achieve the above research objectives,this study takes bank employees as the research object,introduces the variable of self-esteem,and focuses on the relationship between bank employees’ work motivation and job performance,as well as the moderating role of self-esteem.To this end,the author consulted relevant literature,built a research model on the relationship among work motivation,work performance and self-esteem,set work motivation as independent variable,work performance as dependent variable and self-esteem as moderating variable,and combined with existing research results,proposed 3 main hypotheses and 16sub-hypotheses.The main hypothesis is that there is a positive correlation between work motivation and work performance,and the influence of external motivation is more significant,and self-esteem has a moderating effect on the relationship between the two.In order to verify the above hypothesis,the author selected a total of 51 questions for measuring work motivation,work performance and self-esteem by referring to the relevant scale,and distributed 250 questionnaires to the banking employees in Chongqing and Shenzhen by means of questionnaire star.Then,SPSS23.0 software was used to collect 206 valid sample data for statistics,Pearson correlation analysis was used to investigate the correlation degree between the items and dimensions of the measurement scale,and regression analysis was used to explore the relationship between the work motivation and job performance of bank employees,and explore the moderating effect of self-esteem on the relationship between the two.According to the data collected by the survey,it is found that the three major hypotheses of this study are valid,while the two sub-hypotheses are not,and the following conclusions are drawn:1.Internal motivation can promote the work performance of banking employees.2.The external motivation is that the work performance of the banking employees can be promoted.3.Influenced by the incentive model of the industry,the city of the subjects and the age range,the external motivation of the bankers has a slightly higher impact on the work performance than the internal motivation.4.Self-esteem has a moderating effect on the relationship between work motivation and job performance of banking employees,and the influence of high self-esteem level is more obvious.Therefore,combining with the actual situation of Chinese banking industry,some directions are put forward for optimizing the management of employees in banking enterprises.For example,in order to promote the achievement of work performance,banking enterprises can stimulate the external motivation of employees through appropriate external rewards.For example,bank managers should fully understand the importance of self-esteem.Use self-esteem as a factor in recruitment or through interventions to raise the level of self-esteem of existing employees. |
