| As a language education institution in China,Confucius Institute undertakes the important task of promoting people to people and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries while conducting language teaching.Therefore,the development of cultural communication activities of the Confucius Institute is not only related to China’s cultural image,but also directly affects the effect of cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.This paper takes the cultural communication activities carried out by19 Confucius Institutes in Germany in recent years as the research object,adopts the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey and interview,and based on Lasswell’s "5W" theory,analyzes the development of cultural communication activities of Confucius Institutes in Germany from five aspects: communicators,communication contents,communication channels,communication audiences and communication effects.The research shows that the cultural communication activities of Confucius Institutes in Germany have the following advantages:communicators give full play to the advantages of institutional cooperation;The content of communication activities is rich;Diversified media;Broad audience coverage;The communication effect is satisfactory.At the same time,there are also the following problems: the construction of communicators’ cultural communication capacity needs to be improved;The communication content is not contemporary and deep enough,and the communication is unidirectional;Inadequate network communication and social media operation of communication channels;The audience segmentation is not enough,and the overall understanding of China is low;The influence of communication effect is low,and the evaluation and feedback mechanism has not been established.This paper argues that the main reasons for the problems in the cultural communication activities of Confucius Institutes in Germany are:inadequate training of teachers;Inadequate dissemination content mining;The awareness of communication and interaction is not strong;Insufficient use of network media;Inadequate analysis of audience needs;The cultural differences between China and Germany are large;Not making full use of local media;Difficulty in communication effect evaluation and feedback.Based on the above reasons,this paper puts forward the following suggestions: strengthening teacher training,training full-time personnel;Strengthening the construction of national cultural publications;Enhance communication and interaction,and change one-way communication to two-way communication;Break the limitation of time and space,innovate network communication;Understand the needs of the audience and achieve accurate communication;Promote the localization of activities in combination with local culture;Strengthen cooperation with local media;Carry out comprehensive investigation and improve the evaluation system. |
