There is a close relationship between China and Vietnam in history.As neighboring countries,China and Vietnam have a long history of traditional friendship.Since the resumption of cooperative relations between China and Vietnam,Chinese has developed rapidly in Vietnam.Chinese teaching has been popularized and widely valued at all levels,including primary school,middle school,senior high school,as well as undergraduate and graduate students.Especially in Chinese teaching in colleges and universities in Vietnam,the development of Chinese teaching is the most obvious.This paper reviews the history of the development of Chinese in Vietnam,further investigates and analyzes the situation of contemporary Chinese teaching in Vietnam,and finds that there are still many shortcomings in Chinese teaching in Vietnam,which is worthy of in-depth understanding.This paper investigates Chinese teaching in Vietnam from the aspects of teaching materials,teachers and teaching methods,and puts forward specific suggestions for improvement.The paper also focuses on the Chinese Department of the Foreign language University of Hanoi National University,the Chinese Department of Hanoi University and Sun Desheng semi-public University of Ho Chi Minh City.The subjects are first-to fourth-year Chinese majors.There were 91 questionnaires and 81 valid questionnaires.Through investigation and analysis,the author finds that there are still many problems in Chinese teaching in Vietnamese colleges and universities.For example:the teaching material is single,the domestic self-compiled teaching material is quite lacking,the content is old,lack of innovation,lack of creativity.Most textbooks are published with publishers in Chinese mainland or Chinese Taiwan region.As a result,the textbooks are not in line with Vietnamese students,and there are also conflicts in terms of culture and ideology.In addition,the teaching facilities of colleges and universities are also relatively lacking,and the advanced teaching equipment is not complete enough.The shortage of teachers is large,the diploma is low,and the age structure is unreasonable.Male and female teachers lose the right balance.The teaching method is relatively traditional,which leads to the low quality of Chinese teaching.On the basis of this,the paper holds that in every country,language education should be paid special attention.Language education is not only that students and teachers should actively face it in education,but more importantly,it is also an important means for a country to carry out cultural communication in the world.On the basis of this,the paper holds that special attention should be paid to Chinese teaching.Chinese teaching is not only that students and teachers should actively face it in education,but more importantly,it is also an important means of cultural communication around the world.Therefore,on the issue of Chinese language teaching in Vietnam,we should look at it from an overall and comprehensive point of view and consider other issues related to it.
