Research On The Development Of Chinese Minority Female Sports From The Perspective Of National Traditional Games Of Ethnic Minorities(1982-2019)

The development of minority sports is of great significance to the development of Chinese national sports.It is an important foundation for China to build a sports power,and it is a vital component in the process of realizing the dream of a sports power and the Chinese dream.As an important part of the development of national sports,minority female sports is an important basis for realizing gender equity in sports,implementing ethnic policies with Chinese characteristics and building a harmonious socialist society.Therefore,it is of certain theoretical and practical significance to explore the development and change of minority female sports.This dissertation adopts the method of literature research,in-depth interview,mathematical statistics,comparative analysis and historical analysis,and takes the National Traditional Games of Ethnic Minorities as the research perspective,combined with feminist theory,to study the development of ethnic minority female sports of last 10 Games from 1982 to 2019.First of all,combing the overview of the 10 consecutive Games from 1982 to 2019.Secondly,analyzing the characteristics of the development of ethnic minority female sports,and finally analyzing the reasons for the development of ethnic minority female sports.The study concluded as follows:(1)During the 10 consecutive Games from 1982 to 2019,the participation rate and degree of minority women in the Games have increased significantly.However,there are also some problems in the process of minority women’s participation.The number of ethnic minority female athletes participating in the competition increased in the fluctuation,and the number of competition events participated by ethnic minority female athletes increased every time.The number of ethnic groups and unrecognized ethnic groups with female athletes participating in the competition gradually increased,and the performance of female athletes in some competition events improved.However,women are in a marginalized position in the management of the Games,and women are still at a disadvantage.Female participation of some ethnic minorities is extremely low,and a few ethnic minorities have no female athlete participating in the event so far.(2)Minority female’s motivations for participating in the Games has been becoming more and more diversified.The love of the events is the common motivation.In addition,expanding the communication circle,displaying ability,improving sports performance,understanding the customs and interesting things of ethnic minorities,for athletes’ career development,promoting the events of the games and spreading the culture of the games are also the motivations.(3)At the Games,female clothing with ethnic characteristics reflect the personality characteristics daily lifestyle of minority female,and can also display and spread multi-ethnic culture.(4)The main reasons for the development of minority female sports include the dual guarantee of China’s national policy and sports policy,the inspiration from the rapid development of China’s female competitive sports,and the reflection and awakening of minority female self-consciousness.
