Countermeasure Study On Protecting Nanxi River Ancient Villages Of Yongjia County

There are nearly 230 ancient villages with distinctive features along Nanxi River in Yongjia County,integrating natural beauty,artistic beauty and artificial beauty.Their layout reflects the lifestyle of "clan culture","ploughing and reading culture" and the thought of " the unity of man and nature" in ancient China,all of which are priceless historical treasures.With the advancement of urbanization and the development of modern society,the contradiction between the protection of ancient villages and the construction of rural modernization has become increasingly prominent.To deal with the relationship between the two is a realistic subject for realizing the harmonious coexistence and sustainable development of ancient villages along Nanxi River in Yongjia County.In this paper,through the combination of field investigation of Nanxijiang ancient village group in Yongjia county and relevant literature inquiries,the author mainly visited several ancient villages such as Furong village,Huatan village and other typical villages,investigated the protection status,widely collected related information,deeply analyzed the existing problems with protection and their causes,and put forward the countermeasures in line with the protection of Nanxijiang ancient villages.The results show that in the Nanxijiang ancient village group of Yongjia County,the overall effectiveness of protection has been achieved.In particular,the ancient villages with more important cultural relics as well as a relatively long and complete history have a higher degree of protection,whereas the ordinary ancient villages with less important cultural relics are not well protected.It is learned that the main problems with protection are as follows: The destruction caused by natural weathering,typhoon and fire;With the development of economy,the indigenous population is losing;The lack of overall planning,the neglect of the participation of villagers;The imperfect management system,laws and regulations of ancient villages;With the increase of the ancient villages’ population,housing is becoming scarce;The disappearing traditional cultural resources of ancient villages.Therefore,this paper puts forward some countermeasures for the protection of Nanxijiang ancient villages in Yongjia County: Perfect the legal system for the subject of responsibility;Digital protection of ancient villages;Make an Overall protection plan;To strengthen the protection of traditional culture of ancient villages;Attach importance to scientific protection;To increase the investment in the protection of ancient villages;To establish non-governmental protection organizations,to attach great importance to academic research and talent construction.
