A central rural area studied in this thesis is experiencing a media revolution.New media technology has entered the countryside,ranging from the elderly to the young.The villagers spontaneously come into contact with this new media tool,and the villagers use this tool to carry out cultural life.The practice of mobile Internet is quietly changing the social structure of villages and the public cultural life of villagers.New media technology has been embedded in the life experience of villagers and the social structure of the village.The material public cultural space that was originally paralyzed has been revitalized under the promotion of the Internet,but at the same time,related problems such as the imbalance of cultural space structure have emerged.So what are the diachronic changes in rural public cultural space observed from the perspective of media? What role does new media play in the reconstruction of rural public cultural space? What are the characteristics of the media reconstruction of rural public cultural space? What are the problems? How to realize the optimization and balance of rural public cultural space,and help the revitalization of rural culture and grassroots governance? This article attempts to answer these questions.This thesis uses participatory observation and in-depth interviews to collect relevant data on the reconstruction of the public cultural space in L village,and uses the method of grounded theory to inductively analyze the data,based on the logic of what is it,what are its characteristics,what are its deficiencies,and how to improve it Based on the context of communication,the five dimensions of communication geography are used to carry out an in-depth analysis on the issue of reconstruction of public cultural space in L village.The results of the study found that in the traditional media era,container media represented by cultural facilities and cultural activities and traditional media constructed public cultural space.The new technical force has played the functions of constructing dual space and building a new relationship network;the spatial characteristics are reflected in the five characteristics of ideological concept change,place sense reshaping,time concept change,closed space deconstruction and space value display;In the structure,such as media addiction,identity crisis,and spatial structure imbalance;finally,it is proposed to bridge the urban-rural digital divide by means of maintaining locality,innovatively developing local culture,and media governance to solve the above problems and realize rural public cultural space in the new media era.orderly development.
