Exploring The Oil Painting Language In The Snow Scene Theme

Snow is beautiful and pure,a symbol of purity and whiteness.It can always take the chaos of the world into a quiet and peaceful white world overnight,bringing people a different visual impact.Snow is always given a distinct meaning,romantic,quiet,harmonious,and all good adjectives are linked to it.Snow,as an important aesthetic object,can be found everywhere in literary poetry.Zhuangzi wrote in "Zhibei Tour" : "You must first bathe and fast to clear your mind of distractions.Wash yourself with snow and purify your mind " This is his yearning and praise for the purest state.Snowy landscapes are always associated with poetic beauty,and there are countless verses written by literati and inkers."The night knows that the snow is heavy,and the sound of breaking bamboo is heard from time to time." Silence,dealt within silver.This is the still movement of the snowy scene in Bai Juyi’s poem.In the lyricist Zhang Xiaoxiang’s "Niannujiao Crossing the Cave Court","Ying Nian Linghai for many years,lonely light and self-reflection,liver and gallbladder are ice and snow",ice and snow are used as a metaphor for being open-minded and thorough.In painting,snow scenes are also the scenery that painters of ancient and modern China and abroad enjoy and depict,and many painters in the West in different periods have explored and practiced the subject of snow scenes,creating a large number of highly skilled and wonderful paintings.On the basis of absorbing Western oil painting techniques,Chinese painters combined with traditional Chinese aesthetic ideas to realize the localization and nationalization of oil painting.They also created a number of oil paintings on the theme of snow.Art comes from life,and the snow scene has given the author a passion for creation,and I have paid for attention to this field since a few years ago,and have conducted a lot of practical research and collected materials.The author seems to have a lot of artistic practice,so I will focus my research on the subject of snow.This thesis mainly takes the painting language of snow oil painting as the research object,and is divided into four parts for discussion and research,namely,an overview of snow scene painting in landscape painting,the different expressions of snow oil painting in the north and south regions of China,the analysis of the painting language of oil painting snow scene,and the practice of snow scene series creation.An overview of Chinese and Western snowy oil paintings from a macro perspective,and an understanding of the artists’ ’s exploration of snow themes.Secondly,from the differences between the north and south regions of China,Li Xiushi,Sun Yuntai,Su Tianci and Shen Xinggong were taken as examples to analyze the separate performances of snow scenes in the north and south.In the third part,in the language of painting snow scenes,the snow oil paintings of different artists are taken as instances,and the three aspects are analyzed: composition,color and brushstroke.Finally,learn and learn from the language and artistic characteristics of oil painting masters,and find a suitable road style through the author’s creative practice.That is,to express the rural snow scene in a realistic way,setting up an elegant and quiet world,so that the viewer can also feel the unique beauty of the snow scene.
