The birth of opera is different from other genres.It has a clear and specific time,which is 1600,which is the year when "Euridice" was performed.The emergence of opera is not an accidental event,but rather the accumulation of ideas,culture,and art in history triggered,integrated,and reconstructed by the times.The opera "Orfeo",created using the same script,was written by Monteverdi,only seven years after the performance of "Euridice".This thesis takes these two operas with the same theme as the research object,and attempts to comprehensively compare the similarities and differences in their artistic expressions by comparing their creative backgrounds,musical forms,musical images,and emotional expressions,and explore the artistic concepts and core of the early stages of opera.First of all,starting from the source that influenced the birth of opera,clarify the linear factors that produced opera,and then analyze the era environment during the formation of opera;Secondly,by comparing the various musical forms in the two operas,this thesis elaborates on the inheritance relationship of the music in the two operas,clarifies how the musical elements in the two operas are formed,what their functions are,and how they support the drama;Again,compare the musical images of two operas and analyze the musical image characteristics of the same character in the hands of different composers from multiple perspectives;Finally,it analyzes the emotional program and aesthetic generation of the two works.This article not only fully presents the similarities and differences in artistic expression between "Euridice" and "Orfeo",but also reveals the creative source and motivation of the two early operas.Another important purpose is to fill the gap in the domestic academic research on early operas.
