School history is the historical development of a school,including its founding background,major events,campus culture,and other aspects.It is a vital document that not only records history,but also serves as a spiritual identity and cultural foundation for the school,identifying its values and identity.Anhui University of Finance and Economics was established in 1959,during a challenging period in China’s history.Shanghai University of Finance and Economics was entrusted with the task of assisting other financial and economic universities,and Ms.Tang Peifen was among the 22 teachers dispatched to assist in the construction of Anhui University of Finance and Economics.She is the only surviving member and has witnessed the lasting friendship and cooperation between the two universities since 1959.My graduation project "Tale of Two Finance Universities" records the friendship and cooperation between the two universities,which has lasted for decades,transcending time and geographical barriers.The oral history documentary showcases the university’s history and development,passes on the culture and spirit of the university,and provides a reference for collecting and organizing its history.This article analyzes the special type of oral history documentary films,focusing on the creation process of the graduation project "Tale of Two Finance Universities",with the aim of exploring its creation technique and underlying value in depth.The article specifically analyzes the central linking structure that "Tale of Two Finance Universities" employs and explores the role of oral history documentary films in the recognition of university education and the inheritance of traditional culture.Most importantly,the concept of "collective memory" is integrated into the analysis and discussion of oral history documentary films.This film itself is a reshaping and inheritance of the collective memory of the university,enhancing students’ awareness and inheritance of the university’s culture and history,and providing strong support for promoting the inheritance and development of the university’s collective memory.In addition,the article further explores the creative direction of campus history documentary films.As an important reference for university history research,oral history documentary films are instrumental in strengthening university historical construction,providing scholars with historical materials,and promoting the in-depth growth and development of university history research.
