English is used more and more widely in the world communication,it has been listed as one of the main subjects in the national curriculum in China.At the primary stage of basic education,because students are initially exposed to English,they are likely to have a sense of strangeness and fear.In this context,English teaching should not only adapt to the cognitive characteristics of primary school students,but also arouse students’ motivations in learning.The use of simple strokes is particularly important.In primary school English teaching,simple strokes have become one of the teaching ways.If we can skillfully use simple strokes to run through the whole class,we can stimulate students’ motivations in learning and arouse their study motivations.It shows the basic skills of teachers,but more importantly,it can intuitively let students understand what they have learned and deepen their understanding of knowledge,so as to cultivate their imagination and gain in the class.Currently,most teachers rely on multimedia courseware for teaching.It led the lower rate of using simple strokes in teaching.However,schools in some regions are unable to use multimedia teaching due to teaching conditions.Besides,ready-made resources that are completely suitable for a certain class are difficult to obtain or even do not exist.If it takes a lot of time to find and integrate,why not let teachers have the ability to provide resources? At this time,teachers can use simple strokes to supplement the teaching content.Regardless of the environment,using simple strokes can quickly and accurately solve the problems,assist to set the teaching situation,help to express emotions and well adapt to various teaching ways and objectives,then achieve the purpose of serving teaching.The research adopted the simple stroke teaching and conducted a four-month teaching practice in Grade Three of Jinzhou Songshan Primary School.At the same time,the author used methods such as questionnaires,tests,and interviews to deeply analyze the application results of simple stroke in Grade Three English class of primary school.The thesis mainly studies three questions: 1.What effect does the application of simple strokes teaching model in Grade Three English class have on students’ motivations in learning English? 2.What effect does the application of simple strokes teaching model in Grade Three English class have on strategies in learning English? 3.What effect does the application of simple strokes teaching model in Grade Three English class have on grades in English? The research results show that simple stroke teaching can stimulate their motivations,improve their grades and improve their English learning strategies,enabling them to obtain a relaxing and pleasant English learning experience,thereby achieving efficient English classroom teaching.
