Research On Information Integration Method In Museum Exhibition Design

Living in the era of information explosion,the public has formed the habit of receiving information with the characteristics of the times.As a museum audience,they have new expectations for the content and form of the exhibition.However,most of the current museum exhibitions still have problems such as too academic content,too dogmatic form and "museum-based".In addition,the audience’s motivation and feelings are often not paid attention to,resulting in a mismatch between the museum’s communication intention and the audience’s viewing needs.Through case analysis,enterprise investigation,expert interviews and literature surveys,the author finds that information integration,as a scientific methodology,can turn disordered information into orderly and usable.The information integration method can help designers deeply analyze a large and complex amount of information such as texts,needs,venues and exhibits,and finally form a display space for museum exhibitions through the design of material media.Based on the communication essence of exhibition design,this paper combines communication science and DIKW model for theoretical innovation,constructs an information integration model of museum display design,and explains the specific process and method of information integration.The research results of this paper fill the theoretical gap of museum display design in information integration,and can also provide theoretical guidance for the practice of various exhibition display design.
