A Study On The Application Of Alfred Hitchcock’s Film Suspense Narrative Technique In The Narrative Design Of Exhibition Space

In the booming year of exhibition design,the demand for exhibition space design is as high as it can be,but innovation in design practice is at a standstill.The programmed design brings quick gains,but lacks the emotional bond that connects space and people.Under this problem,there is an urgent need for designers to think about how to change the status quo of exhibition space design and find a breakthrough,so as to realize the transformation of exhibition space from form-based to narrative-based,and to promote the matching of exhibition design behavior with the audience’s viewing behavior,and to generate good communication and dialogue."Narrative" can strengthen the shaping and communication of content,and "suspense" is one of the important techniques to attract audience’s attention in the process of narrative.The purpose of this research is to explore the methods and strategies of narrative design in exhibition space,taking spatial narrative as the research object,and to explore the "narrative field" that can promote the dissemination and communication of exhibition information,and its construction methods.Firstly,through collecting,examining,sorting,summarizing and concluding the research and development of exhibition space design,we find that the problem of exhibition space design is that there is a fault in the dissemination and reception of exhibition information,which is strongly related to the content design and space design in the exhibition space.Therefore,we take movie narrative as the medium and find the entry point of suspense narrative;secondly,we introduce the famous Hitchcockian suspense narrative technique,analyze its characteristics,and refine the design method of creating suspense;again,we integrate the Hitchcockian movie suspense narrative technique into the narrative design of exhibition space,summarize the applicable design techniques,and empower the design creation of exhibition space to realize the research The research value is realized.Through the interdisciplinary study of film narrative and display space narrative,we summarize the corresponding research entry point,and take the Hitchcockian film suspense narrative techniques as the theoretical basis,with the help of its unique film media technology,we empower the formation of display space narrative design strategies from four aspects: first,the setting of the film theme on the concept of suspenseful exhibition themes;second,the infiltration of suspenseful narrative in the exhibition space plot design,including the use of the Mc Guffin and bomb theory,the establishment of a content narrative framework of continuous transitions,the deletion,ambush and insertion of the plot,the conversion of actors into exhibits,as well as the creation of detailed suspense and other designs,as a way to enrich the occurrence of the exhibition space narrative and mobilize the audience’s emotions and interests in the exhibition;third,the study of visual design in video design on the visual suspense setting method of the exhibition space,the introduction of Greek Third,the visual design of video design on the visual suspense setting method of exhibition space,the introduction of Greek suspense image creation thinking to guide the generation of narrative construction of the exhibition space,changing the audience’s experience perspective;Fourth,the auditory design of video design on the exhibition space auditory suspense setting method research,the use of sound to create suspense,to create a space narrative atmosphere.In this way,the construction of exhibition space places with narrative meaning,to a certain extent,provides some expanded thinking on theoretical research and design practice of exhibition space narrative design.
