A Study On The Expression Function And Exclamatory Phenomenon Of "要死/命" In Modern Chinese

This paper takes modern Chinese"要死/命"as the main object of study,explores the exclamation of modern Chinese"要死/命"and its expression function,and proposes a little understanding on the study of modern Chinese exclamation,hoping to make a little new exploration for the study of exclamation,and to cause scholars to think deeply about the study of modern Chinese secondary exclamation.The thesis is divided into the following chapters.The first introductory chapter mainly elaborates the background and significance of the selected topic,briefly reviews the current status of research on exclamations,secondary exclamations and exclamification,and introduces the purpose of this paper,research methods and corpus sources.The second chapter briefly analyzes the lexical categories of exclamations and the classification of exclamations in modern Chinese on the basis of previous studies,so as to better describe and elaborate the phenomenon of exclamations in modern Chinese,and at the same time defines secondary exclamations and points out the characteristics of secondary exclamations.The third chapter analyzes the structure and variants of"要死/命",dividing it into a combination of phrases expressing a real semantic meaning and a solid structure expressing a degree meaning or a limit meaning for interpretation and comparison of similarities and differences.After defining them as secondary exclamations,their syntactic position is explored.The fourth chapter examines the literal and non-literal meanings of"要死/命",determines its authenticity in the communicative and conversational contexts,and introduces its meaning and function as a secondary exclamation in the linguistic context.The fifth chapter explores the motive mechanism of exclamation of"要死/命",and examines the mechanism of exclamation of"要死/命"from three aspects:contextual absorption,pragmatic reasoning and metaphor,starting from the internal and external motives of language.The sixth chapter briefly discusses other forms of exclamations in modern Chinese,contrasts and analyzes the exclamations of different word classes,and discusses individual cases of exclamations.The concluding section summarizes the overall content,explains the value of this paper and analyzes some shortcomings of the research.
