China is a cultural country with more than 5,000 years of history,thousands of years of history and culture has made China accumulate a rich cultural heritage,which is a great wealth.As one of the long-standing folk cultures,folk paper-cutting art is also an excellent traditional culture in China.But with the acceleration of modernization,the art of paper-cutting has slowly disappeared from our lives.In recent years,China has paid more and more attention to intangible cultural heritage,and while acceding to many international conventions,it has also introduced many targeted protection policies,and many cultural exhibition halls and museums have been established one after another.The establishment of the paper-cutting exhibition hall is to further strengthen people’s understanding of traditional Chinese paper-cutting art and publicize the historical value of paper-cutting culture.Therefore,the paper-cutting exhibition hall is a comprehensive and professional product with traditional paper-cutting art as the main body.However,the number of designs in the intangible cultural heritage museum is low,and there are even fewer exhibitions on the theme of paper-cutting.In addition,museums also face a series of difficulties in the way they are displayed.In addition,there are many problems in the exhibition form of the exhibition hall,the traditional exhibition hall is mainly static display in the display of works and graphics,rarely designed interactive experience with visitors,ignoring the experience and sense of participation of visitors in the process of viewing the exhibition,so it is impossible for visitors to have a deep understanding and experience of paper-cutting art,and it is difficult for the exhibition hall to effectively protect,inherit and promote intangible cultural heritage.In this thesis,we have studied relevant cases at home and abroad,and reviewed a large amount of relevant literature to explore the rationality of applying thesis-cutting in display art.The thesis firstly introduces the art form of thesis-cutting,summarizes its application in display design,and proposes a new way to use thesis-cutting in display design.Finally,the thesis also discusses the possibility of combining the two.Applying thesis-cutting art form to display design can not only promote our national thesis-cutting culture,but also enrich the content and form of display art.After an in-depth understanding of folk paper-cutting and Yuzhang paper-cutting,the author learned through "field visits","on-site interviews" and "questionnaire surveys" the shortcomings of the existing pavilions in design and the needs of the public for the design of the pavilions,so as to explore design ideas suitable for the Yuzhang paper-cutting pavilion,to create a new form of paper-cutting pavilion,so that the non-heritage culture can be better protected and inherited under the carrier of the pavilion,so as to enhance the cultural value of non-heritage and the economic benefits of the inheritors,and to arouse people’s awareness of the protection of non-heritage.Overall,the establishment of the Yuzhang paper-cutting exhibition hall not only gives visitors a deeper understanding of the history and culture of paper-cutting in Yuzhang,but also shows the outstanding achievements in the development of local paper-cutting culture and introduces them in an interesting way,which can more effectively mobilize people’s interest in the art of paper-cutting and thus more effectively preserve and promote the culture of paper-cutting in Yuzhang.
