Report On The E-C Translation Of Abstracts Of Big Data Theses Based On The Eco-Translatology Theory

With the rapid development of big data technology,although China has made consider able progress in the field of big data,there is still a certain gap with the world’s high-end level.Therefore,it is very important to draw on the excellent research results from foreign countries,and the quickest way is to browse abstracts of papers.Its quality not only affects the chance of the paper being retrieved,cited,and included internationally,but also relates to the progress and development of China’s scientific research achievements.Therefore,exploring the translation of big data paper abstracts is of great significance.This report focuses on the English abstract of big data papers,using the eco-translatology as a method to explore the translation of big data paper abstracts under the guidance of the eco-translatology.This report specifically analyzes the problems in the current English abstract of big data text translations and how to select appropriate translation methods under the guidance of ecotranslatology to guide translation practice.The eco-translatology advocates for "adaptation and selection" of the translator.The "three-dimension" theory in eco-translatology is used to guide translation activities,focusing on the translator and the entire translation ecological environment,injecting new vitality and providing new resear-ch perspectives for the study of scientific and technological English translation.Regarding the translation of big data textual abstracts,this report uses the three dimensions of eco-translatology to analyze the selected text,which are the language dimension,cultural dimension,and communicative dimension,to explore the translation strategies of scientific and technological texts.The lexical level discusses the translation strategies of terminology,abbreviations,and noun structure;at the syntactic level,it mainly discusses the translation strategies of passive voice and complex and long sentences;the textual level mainly discusses coherence and cohesion.The conclusion is that the translation of big data from English to Chinese has its specific ecological environment,and translator should achieve adaptive selection and transformation of the language,cultural,and communicative dimensions in the translation process.Eco-translatology conforms to objective laws and the trend of the times,playing a guiding role in the progress and development of the scientific and technological translation field from multiple dimensions.Therefore,ecotranslatology can guide the translation of scientific and technological English abstracts represented by big data thesis.
