| In recent years,Chinese food documentaries have attracted much attention,and since the hit A Bite of China in 2012,food documentaries have shown a trend of diversified development,and many works with distinctive local characteristics have emerged.These documentaries present the food culture with regional characteristics to the audience by showing the eating habits,characteristic ingredients,traditional culture and cooking styles of different regions.With the improvement of comprehensive national strength,the influence of China’s cultural communication continues to expand,and Chinese food documentaries have an important role in promoting the construction of national image and cultural communication.Today,with the diversified development of documentaries,more and more food documentaries use food as the theme to realize the cross-regional dissemination of Chinese food culture throughout the country and even the world through different channels,and build a supra-regional connotation centered on cultural exchange and integration,group identity and emotional expression.Taking the Chinese food documentaries that have attracted much attention since 2012 as an example,this paper comprehensively analyzes the thematic content,narrative techniques,audiovisual styles,and communication channels of these documentaries,and discusses their cultural value and influence in the field of cultural communication beyond the region.This paper is divided into five chapters,the first chapter explains the relevant concepts of regional food documentaries,starting from the regional and supra-regional connotations of food culture,and summarizing the cultural value of supra-regional food documentaries.The second chapter mainly explores how regional symbols form multiple meanings in food documentaries,using linguistic symbols and non-verbal symbols as mediations,extending to super-regionality through the carrier of food,and realizing human mutual emotions of consensus,resonance and empathy.Chapter 3interprets the supra-regional narrative mode of food documentaries from the three aspects of "food+ region","food + people" and "food + culture",and shows the relationship between food,story and characters through diversified narrative analysis.Chapter 4 analyzes the aesthetic style of audiovisual language of food documentaries,and summarizes how food documentaries establish supra-regional sensory rituals through visual and auditory presentation techniques.Chapter 5mainly expounds the cultural communication forms of food documentaries,combining the diversified communication characteristics of the era of big data,innovative digital media channels,and "IP" linkage to create brand effectiveness,and puts forward feasible suggestions for how Chinese food documentaries can realize the cross-regional dissemination of culture and the supra-regional communication of humanistic care spirit. |
