| Well-being is an important indicator of adolescents’ mental health and a necessary foundation for students’ learning and development.However,in recent years,with the increasing social competition,Chinese high school students are facing heavy academic pressure,changing values and an uncertain future.They are prone to strong conflicts and pressures in their hearts,leading to a lack of happiness or even a sense of happiness and psychological problems.How to improve the happiness of high school students has become the main point of research for researchers and educators.The theory of social emotional choice points out that the happiness of adolescents has the characteristics of pointing to the future,and the ability of individuals to think about the future develops rapidly in the teenage years and approaches maturity in high school.Self-determination theory believes that the content of future goals is an important influencing factor of happiness.Pursuing the goal of promoting the inner growth of the individual has a positive meaning for its happiness;at the same time,the basic psychological needs are connected with the inner goal,which is a necessary psychology for the active development of the individual Needs and their degree of satisfaction also have an important impact on the happiness level of adolescents.my country is currently in the implementation stage of quality education and the reform of the new college entrance examination.High school students need to have a certain plan for the future and choose their own direction.This requires educators to gradually change from focusing only on the current academic performance of students to the future of students.His life planning and physical and mental health are highly valued.Therefore,exploring the impact of future goals on happiness and its mechanism is of great significance to the improvement of the happiness of high school students under my country’s new college entrance examination reform policy.This study used the Desire Index Scale,Basic Psychological Needs Questionnaire,and Overall Happiness Scale to select 2,424 high school students from five schools in five provinces including Jilin Province,Liaoning Province,Sichuan Province,Zhejiang Province and Guangdong Province that have implemented the new college entrance examination reform.The first-year students conduct a questionnaire survey to understand the development status of the future goals and happiness of high school students in our country,and explore the horizontal relationship among future goals,basic psychological needs and happiness.Subsequently,a total of 627 senior high school students from two schools in Liaoning and Sichuan provinces were selected for a one-year follow-up study to further reveal the causal relationship between future goals and happiness,as well as basic psychological needs and their various dimensions.The vertical mediating role of HR,so as to provide theoretical basis and practical reference significance for the theoretical research and practical application of improving the happiness of high school students.Through research,the following conclusions are drawn:1.The overall level of well-being of high school students is relatively medium,and there are significant differences in demographic variables such as gender,family location,only child,location,subjective family socioeconomic status,etc.The performance is male>girls,urban>rural,only child >Non-only child,North>South,well-being level first rises and then declines with subjective family socioeconomic status.2.The future goals of high school students are significantly different in family location and region.There is no significant difference in gender and whether or not they are only children.Among them,the internal goal is expressed as urban>rural,north>south,and the external goal is expressed as south>north.In addition,the external goal reaches its peak when the subjective family’s socioeconomic status is the lowest and highest.From the perspective of individual analysis,there are three types of target combinations for high school students: high internal and high external,high internal and low external,low internal and low external.3.Intrinsic goals have a significant positive correlation with well-being,and external goals have a significant negative correlation with well-being.The basic psychological needs and its three dimensions play a horizontal mediating role between the future goals and well-being of high school students.Among them,the mediating effect of the three basic psychological needs between internal goals and well-being is in order of autonomy needs>relationship needs>ability needs.Between external goals and well-being,the mediating effects of the three basic psychological needs The order of relationship is ability needs>autonomy needs>relationship needs.4.Intrinsic goals can predict the happiness level of high school students in one direction across time,and the basic psychological needs play a vertical intermediary role between the two.Further testing found that the mediating effect between the intrinsic goal of autonomy and happiness is significant,and it is the best predictor of happiness for high school students.In short,future goal contents and basic psychological needs are important factors that affect the well-being of high school students.While paying attention to the academic level of high school students,we must also pay attention to the cultivation of their future life plans and values,and strengthen the autonomy,ability and relationship of high school students.The satisfaction of needs to improve their happiness and mental health. |
