The Study And Practice Of Classicism In Realistic Painting In The "Freewill" Series

Western classical art originated in the ancient Greek period,after the development of the Renaissance,classicism has been systematically improved,entering the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries classicism into the climax of development,shine,and then in the nineteenth century,classicism ushered in the last prosperity.As a traditional expression method of Western art,realistic painting occupies a considerable part of classical works,and even the boundary between the two is very blurred in certain circumstances.This paper first clarifies the concept of classicism and sorts out the relationship between classicism and realistic painting.Classicism was conceived in ancient Greek culture and is an intrinsic spiritual pursuit rooted in Western civilization.The second part begins to study classicism within the scope of realistic painting,by listing representative artists and their works in the history of Western painting,studying from the perspective of artistic expression,and clarifying that the spiritual pursuit of classicism as the core of classicism has always been condensed in the development of Western art.The third part takes the works of Jin Shangyi and Wang Yidong as examples to study classicism in the field of realistic Chinese painting.Finally,focusing on the creative process of the graduation project "Wantonness",the analysis is carried out from the aspects of topic selection,conception,color,and shaping,and the thinking on the spirit of classicism and the creative practice of realistic painting are carried out.
