Research On The Classroom Teaching Skills For Local Chinese Teachers At Confucius Institute Of Antananarivo University,Madagascar

At present,the Confucius Institute at the University of Antananarivo has achieved certain results in Chinese teaching,however there are still problems to be solved urgently in terms of classroom teaching skills of local Chinese teachers.As an important force in the Chinese language teaching staff,how to improve local Chinese teachers teaching ability is a problem worthy of study.We identified and selected eight local teachers as our research objective from the Confucius Institute at the University of Antananarivo in Madagascar,as well as its affiliated teaching sites,During the process,the testing approaches include classroom observations and interviews;There are seven aspects our study focused on,to study and understand those teaching skills used by local teachers at their Chinese teaching classes,including language speaking skill,questioning skill,blackboard writing skill,Presentation skill,introduction skill,classroom people management skill,topic closing skill,as well as the overall classroom teaching skill level.During the study,we can’t neglect the truth that those local teachers working at the Confucius Institute at University of Antananarivo captured the fundamental teaching skills.However,there are also problems such as "there are many mantras in the teaching language,the content of the questions is not inspiring,the questioning methods are relatively simple,the connection between the introduction and the content of the new lesson is low,and the teachers do not pay much attention to the end of the class".On this basis,This article puts forward some suggestions for improving the classroom teaching skills of local Chinese teachers at the Confucius Institute of University Antananarivo.Hope to provide some useful reference for country-specific research on teaching skills for local Chinese-teaching teachers.
